Sadly, Real Madrid is in the front seat now. If we don't win at Bernabeu, we're out IMO, especially if Madrid wins on Calderon.

Pretty much this. Anyway isn't this the 3rd time when athletico lost the chance to go ahead of barca and ended up levelled?

Well if AM beat them then things should be a level at 63 points. In the scenario I would take a draw at Madrid.

Too many ifs, if atletico win, if we win all our remaining games if this, if that. I basically want the better team which is better prepared for the game to win

Real Madrid has a more difficult fixture away from home, so there is more chance that they drop more points than Barca.

I feel bad for people that thought Atleti actually had a chance. Thier worst team in ages. Dead serious.

Simeone should get a medal.

Supposedly Simeone held back three of the players as they were one booking away from missing next weeks game against Real.

Playing two strikers and Diego in midfield is too open and not what has got them where they are this season.

The argument that Real is bound to lose points is reassuring only under the assumption that Barcelona not drop points again. At this point I'd say that is unlikely, which is why we have a legitimate reason to be concerned. Sure, Real will drop points. The question is: who will drop more, us or them? Therein lies the key to winning the league.

Any away games, especially the one against Villarreal, could possibly make us drop points. Even the home games are no longer safe bets.

Hell Osasuna (H) could be tricky. The derby away won't be easy. And of course Villareal away. Also, Almeria beat Atletico couple weeks ago... Going to be tough, Tata and the guys have to get it right.

People saying to calm down because real have difficult fixtures ahead are just hiding from the fact that we are on the back seat of the title race.Real has 1 difficult away game against sociedad and we have against villareal. And they don't have that crappy away record against sociedad like us. They have lost to only 2 teams which are the top 3 teams this time unlike us who lost to lower ranked teams like valencia, sociedad and bilbao. And now they play athletico who they have been beating quite easily in the last 2 matches(clean sheet in both matches) and having an advantage over us in the classico by playing on bernabeu. Real wont be taking all points from now on but what makes you think that we wont drop as well? We can win it and the race is far from over but don't say not to worry coz real will lose points in future.

Sociedad has only lost 1 home game this season so Real Madrid is most likely going to lose some points at Anoeta. It's their first time they're on top of the table for over 400 days so you shouldn't be talking about them winning the league yet. Real Madrid were lucky in those 2 games against Atletico (2 penalties, 2 own goals). Simeone knows that they can't compete for all 3 titles so they really didn't even try in that second leg. Atleti has a whole week to prepare for that match against RM while Real have to play a tough away game against Schalke midweek. They're playing at Vicente Calderon so i'll say Atletico 2-1 Real Madrid.
