Just saw this. I must say I haven't followed any discussions here at all.
My problem with 3-5-2 is the intention of Koeman. We won with it against Valladolid, a very weak opponent, and Koeman thought "wow, I just found our go-to formation".

It's useful in certain situations, against certain opponents. I am 100 % of belief that it doesn't work in the long run if you want to challenge for all titles.

I have no issue changing to it in game or using it in extreme cases, like the 6-1 vs PSG.

It was used against Valladolid because they play with 2 forwards, and it worked perfectly well.
It was wrong to use it again against Eibar, that's clear.

It works in the long run also depending on players and tactis. Conte won EPL in 2017 playing 3-5-2.
Formation says nothing, if not coupled with football principles and style of play.
Dont' be obsessed with formations alone. Many people are seriously obsessed with 4-3-3, because Pep perfected it, without having any knowledge at all what it means to play 4-3-3 at times

Atletico is so hard to watch. What a disgustingly boring team

What is Atletico even doing smh

They have 1 man advantage and playing like crap when it's only 1-0.

Alaves would have scored if GOATblak wouldn't have had that save

Damn I'm salty af every time burger scores, it's like he's proving me wrong. It's okay though, I think that's the only reason he's playing well, to "prove" something since we literally had to pay just to get rid of him, which means that if he was still here, he would continue to be shit or most likely have declined even more.

He fits them well. Way more clinical than Costa too. He’s like the icing on the cake for Atletico, probably what they needed to win the league. There defence is class too.

90 minute winners, yeah, the league is done and dusted, its simply their year.

Exactly. Winning 90 minutes is lucky(esp. Short-term), not skill. Most of the time it means you played too bad to win it earlier.

Everything seems to go Atleticos way. It's their year. Congrats!
