Was "GolTV" a different company, or was it just a rebranding?
Could ESPN pick up Ray as well I wonder?

Gol TV is a different company AFAIK, and Ray Hudson is an employee of Bein. I am confused as to how and why Bein let this happen. They obviously have a lot of money and can outbid ESPN for la liga. They are losing the biggest reason why people are subbed to their channel in the states.

Have used Sling TV to get BEIN the past couple years. Cancelling that subscription immediately.

BEIN production quality was shit. A lot of day matches like our recent one vs Atletico were so tough to watch even in HD

Looks like La Liga was not happy with some distribution issues with BeIN Sport and wanted a carrier with more distributions channels to broaden the appeal of the league in the US.
