you failed to attack them, because you are afraid to do so.

Afraid to do what exactly?

Get that bit of your interpretation right before you even go any further. Not surprised you put this down to 'fear' when you spend so much time looking at the scoreline vs xG relationship.

Never justified relatively poor attacking movement with injuries.
Makes is all the more funny how you have such a grand fantastic movement upfront and still barely keeping up with us despite us having half team missing most of the season, playing Lucas Vazquez at RB and Vinicius as LF.

So if you never did, you better start your posts by saying so, instead of starting by throwing millions of injury excuses.
Fear is evident in any coach who cannot commit forward as much as necessary to break buses (of inferior sides), because of the possibility of getting exposed on the counter.
Something that is as old as football itself.
The fact that we are on par with you on points has to do mainly with our poor conversion on the one end.

Anything else I can do to help your reading comprehension?

Curious take.

It's not reading comprehension problem.
It's hierarchy of reasons in explaining failure, where you put 1st your injury crisis, instead of putting 1st the more fundamental problem of not having a proper attacking game.

Your 'proper attacking game' had you 2nd last year when you had a striker and a young scoring winger. Behind Benzema + Ramos and our 100M player out for 90% of it while your equivalent was sticking up the joint fully fit.
It has you 3rd this year without a striker and a young scoring winger, two 100M players fit for 80% of it, and barely keeping up with a Benzema + Casemiro + 60 injuries
It has you lose a head-to-head 3 times on the trot to that same team that doesn't have a 'proper attacking game'.
It has you get rolled in the CL by a team of headcases while a team without 'proper attacking football' made it to semis.

Lmao

Who said Barca had a proper attacking game last season? Not me for sure..
We were atrocious under Ernie and under Setien after the Corona break when he decided to play Ernieball for the remaining of the season.

The fact that you squeeze the injuries in every line confirms my previous post. Start by an honest self-criticism and leave the injury excuse for the end.
Plus, the fact that you take at face value that you reached CL semis, without taking into account who you played and that only because of Inter you did not continue in the Europa League says it all.

You are in disbelief. Hope Zidane stays, you seem to need another eye-opening year to come to terms with reality

The not-so-proper attacking game had better scoring and table results than the proper attacking game from this year then
More curious takes!

Doesn't confirm anything and not every line, just the lines where it's relevant.
Other than the fact that having 60 injuries matters.

Start by an honest self-criticism and leave the injury excuse for the end.

I did, many a time throughout the season. I'm very critical of how we play. And very honest how we play when circumstances and fitness are at normal levels.

Plus, the fact that you take at face value that you reached CL semis, without taking into account who you played
I know very well who we played.
Played them better than you played your opponents. In your formidable fortress.

You are in disbelief.

Definitely am

It's surprisingly fun.
Proper attacking game vs Levante. Hope you do better than we did. Be a shame if you didn't.

The whining from Real fans about injuries.

I would have gladly traded the clubs injury situations this season. Better to have more small ones than to lose a player like Fati for the whole season.

Fati injury has really hurt us, even if he is much younger he gives us a lot more than dembele.

Not really you wouldn't. Think back to any season where Ney or Alba had a crocked ankle every month/2 months and how that impacts regularity. Losing a key guy sucks, but you are forced to adjust and in normal circumstances can buy mid season to cope (i.e. Liverpool & Kabak, Real when Higuain had back hernia in 2011 or 2012).

There were several severe injuries too. Besides Hazard's recurring issue we had Carvajal's fucked right leg taking him out basically for a season, our captain playing 4 games in 2021 and 2nd best assistant at the time get injured for 3-4 months.

No matter what happens to Real Madrid next, it has been impressive season for them, considering they got the better of us and Atletico and are still hopeful to win the league, are without Ronaldo, had their biggest signing Hazard sitting on the stand and rendered pretty much useless the entire season, are in the midst of a rebuild and have had a lot of injuries.
