Yep.

MSN's peak was a lot more dominant/nuclear level compared to BBC. Where BBC had them beat is the perfect balance of physical attributes and technical ability. Coupled with strong intangible abilities (like ability to score out of nowhere in big away games or wonder goals in finals).

All of BBC are dominant in the air.
All of BBC are technically sound (yes, even Bale).
All of BBC have work rate when the games matter.
All of BBC are comfortable with either a possession or a counter attacking game (Messi and Ney got lazy in this regard after 14-15 and basically let the opponent regroup).

And elite, professional mentality. Sorry, but Messi and Neymar, while they may be supremely talented to a level inaccessible to any of the BBC, they fall behind in terms of motivation, fighter mentality, etc. The same goes for post-prime Suarez who couldn't even manage his weight properly. Problem is Suarez spent half of his peak at Liverpool.

More genius, not as professional, and lesser athletes, as you say.

Bale is pissed that he was on the bench vs Liverpool even though he was in good form. What does he do? He goes in and scores a double, one being one of the greatest goals ever in a CL final.

Agreed. If Henry had been 2-3 years younger in 08-09 though...

They probably wouldn't have allowed us to compete in the CL.

Very underrated attacking trident. Didn't the trio of Henry, Eto'o, and Messi have at least 25 or more goals each? Very impressive

Yup, first attacking trio to score 100 or close to 100 goals in a season.

Messi and Eto'o had like 36-38 and Henry around 25.

The mentality of Henry and Eto'o surpasses Ney and Suarez for me. Plus, Messi was hungry AF back then in terms of his motivation.

If he had done so youd come up with the excuse that he lacks the charisma of a leader and should be more vocal on pitch or sumethin

He does lack charisma of a leader. If he didn't, teams would fear him. Which they don't because they know he's bang average i.e. he will have a good run of games, followed by an atrocious run of games in terms of finishing.

Wouldn't be an excuse for anything. Late Rooney was scoring goals for United until he left. Doesn't mean anything.

Anyway, it's tough to compare, because MSN had basically 3 seasons.

BBC had what, from 2013 until 2018. That's 5 seasons.

It's not so much of them being underrated, but the telepathic understanding of MSN was something to behold. Unmatched by any attacking trio that I've seen play. That's why MSN was the best. Henry could have been in his prime and have scored even more, but as a unit him, Eto'o and Messi where not on the same level as MSN.

Plus MSN were in their prime at the same time and each one of them was an exceptional player. Benzema was not all that, even in his prime, compared to Suarez for example

You are simply deflecting. Not asking you to find flaws in his play as no player is perfect. I am just bringing up the fact you were wrong about him and it is time for you to admit it.

No I am not deflecting anything. As you haven't made a statement. What's your statement? That Benzema had a good game? You said I have to backpedal. On what?

Wolfe is the only Madrid fan I have ever seen to hate Benz so much

Not surprising since everyone eats up the Marca line of thinking on this matter and club resorting to mediocrity on every front, including the striker, is the reason we are this shit offensively.

The '6 in 11' cartwheelers are the funniest, because they're completely detached from fact that a Fat Suarez has 5 in 8

Difficult to like the guy who scores ~4 more goals in a season from a striker position, than Hazard did on a broken leg. And the president leaving Borja Mayoral as his competitor.

Any more enlightening stuff on Benzema da gawd that I need to backpedal on?

agree. well said.

i remember when MSN was firing in all cylinders and someone asked Ronaldo if the problem was that MSN were close friends while BBC were not and CR said something like "yeah they hug and kiss but we are professionals". or something like that.

at the time it seemed like a deflection but he was right. the professionalism won out in the end
