Yeah, more, 1 result was different, lol
Don't know why it wouldn't be their folding history vs Madrid kicking in at least equal measure. Which team that goes 26 games unbeaten plays their worst game of the year while playing clearly better than their opponents leading up to the key fixture and having just beaten Barcelona? It's not normal.
The performance trend is pretty clear for anyone who watches these H2Hs. How often do they beat us or even play superior to us for most of the game? Even when they do get a 20 minute stretch of not playing it tight vs us, they still don't manage to score. Last instance after the Carrasco goal in 15/16 CL final was when?
They're so often either content with a draw or just don't have what it takes when better + they have a history of bottling when approaching a game as a relative favourite, not just against us.
Vs Juve they won 2-0, then went 5-0 in league in goals and folded 0-3 away.
Not to mention Leipzig, having knocked out vastly better defending champs.
15/16 - beat Madrid 0-1 with first, and only, big game (unless you count Wolfsburg) Zidane lost that year after 1 month in charge; then Undecima where you could argue they had better 2nd half and still we held them off till penos
16/17 - Madrid beat them soundly away with a blinder of a game from Isco + CR; then they barely scrape a draw with a late Griezmann goal; then fold 3-0 at Bernabeu and lose on one Benzema run despite mounting a comeback
17/18 - Atleti more concerned with CL groups here I suppose in autumn since it was that shit year they got knocked out to EL so can forgive a 0-0; in spring Real is dead some 15 points behind Barca, even rotated Kovacic in, Atleti needing a win to even hope to challenge and they still don't get a result
18/19 - Real starts season like shit, beats bad Roma, then gets rinsed by Seville and Atleti don't beat us despite the 4-2 a month earlier; then Real sort them out in Feb without any issue
19/20 - another bore draw where Atleti showed nothing of note to challenge us and we weren't any good, had no left-back + first(?) Hazard start, RM did them in on penalties in Supercopa in winter, and then 1-0 at Wanda against our forwards' run of form
Even our relative spike in mood after Gladbach shouldn't have caused this kind of 2-0 where they did sodall, got one chance and Lemar put it wide, while we get a corner, Carvajal takes one random shot that goes in and that's how we win.
Such losers. It's Spurs on steroids
