Carvajal generally looked off this season so far, far below what he was last season so I don't think its much of a disadvantage for Madrid

But highly depends on how Fran Garcia does as well, from what I've seen he's not all that but pretty fast

Carvajal is a nice guy, too bad for him, but for Barca this is good news. Best fullback in the world if you ask me in the last 2 seasons.

With his age that might be a career killer if as bad as they fear.

Tough to get back at a high level from a serious knee injury at nearly 33.

Then it prob sucks really much for Madrid

I agree he was among the best fullbacks over the last few seasons but to the start of this season he surely wasn't. This game in particural he was really off. Not a surprise considering how much effort he put to win all he won last season and the way he played at that age.

Vini was also taken off for some injury

Would be a L in disguise for Madrid if it's both serious
