Getafe solid, very heavy opposition to Atletico.

But ngl we experienced something very similar on Montjuic, although I think we were much more dominant as could have won that game by 2 or 3 goals if not for some crazy misses like that of Eric.

They struggled very much against Sevilla too, which was definitely not the case with us.

If you are to judge Flick so far, his most impressive work has been in CL. In La Liga we've been ok, but not that impressive. I mean it's a question mark when you beat Dortmund away but pick up only 2 points vs Osasuna, Sociedad, Celta and Betis.
See this is the bar being raised. La Liga is fine. As someone mentioned(DonAK?) some of our players not even old enough to drink. There was also Bernal.

Thing with Flick is that despite doing well in the league, we could have built a very good lead in La Liga but didn't. Meaning that we can't be having bad periods like the recent one.

The bar from the start of the season has been to win la Liga. We won it with this same team 2 years ago.

Since then we've added a WC yamal and a top class Olmo.

The bar is the same, CL is just icing on top of the cake if it happens, then he's goated.

If he wins the league, he's just doing the minimum required for a club like Barcelona.

We know that. I said all along the manager has to be great to win titles with this squad. We're simply trying to find out how good Flick can be. That is all.

No, that wasn’t bar at start of season. Most thought we’d be screwed with Mbappe transfer and us having aging Lewandowski and players injured at start and not having brought in proper LW.

Peak revisionism at display.

Yes, but Mbappe didn't fit in well and seems like their midfield is dysfunctional without Kroos. You also need luck to win and we have it this season.

I don't know about others but my expectations for La Liga were to compete vs Madrid and win it if they had a bad season. Same as Xavi in 2022-23 when they also came after a La Liga - CL double.

The "most" that thought that were the Xavi haters who were trying to give flick and excuse for not winning lol.

The standard as been to win the league, he said it, everyone around the club said it, that has always been the goal for this season.

Madrid added Mpabbe, we added Olmo and a older better yamal.

They got better, we got better.

We proved we could beat Madrid while they had a better team on paper than us, would be no different now.

We should always compete that is a given. But pretty sure a lot(close to whole football world likely) didn’t like our chances of winning it before it started.

I mentioned that Madrid hasn't repeated a title in over 15 years. They struggle to put up two consecutive solid seasons.
