This is after fact lol. You just proved my initial claim. That bar has been raised during season.

Also jamrock focusing on semantics as feel will lose argument otherwise. Change what I said to “to do this well” then.

As per usual, Horatio can't debate and is walking into another L.

Because your form of debating is putting words into other people's mouth to suit your argument.

No bar has been raised, the standard for Barca is to win the league, as said by many including the coach himself.

Madrid Getting Mbappe is irrelevant, we got better as well, and football isn't played on paper, as we have shown vs them on multiple occasions over the years.

No bar has been raised or lowered for flick, the bar was is and will Always be to win the league, PERIOD.

Take another L and move on young padawan.

Play well and lose is the standard, said no one ever who doesn't have some form of agenda.

For me the bar is not to win the league no matter what. But the season is shaping up in a way that provides a big chance to win the league for Flick. And I personally think Flick is gonna pull it off. Not by suffering and getting the win vs smaller teams with crazy consistency, but by picking up 12 out of 12 vs Madrid and Altetico, and doing just enough vs rest of the field.

The team looks strong and capable of accessing an extra gear vs bigger teams.

Atletico match is gonna be telling.

We can add Rayo Vallecano to the list of teams not named Barca and Atletico that Madrid have now dropped points too.

Pre Bilbao game it was already too late as barca had dropped too many points apparently.

That's because you don't think we can win it. Neither do I, but few expected Dortmund to be in a final. Why not us?

I don't expect us to win but nothing to do with that really. You can't win CL in group stage so really strange Flick gave priority to games against Young Boys, Brest and Red Star that we should have won with backups really and then dropped points in La Liga.

It is a different competition, you are seeded according to the league phase results.

But I agree resting players vs Osasuna away for Young Boys at home was dumb.

Yeah but it's just a speculation we would get an "easier" opponent if we finish higher. Madrid is currently 20th, it's possible they finish somewhere around 15-18th and if they get to Round of 16 we could face them.

And with how City and PSG are struggling one of them could just get through and finish 23/24th so we could potentially play them in quarter finals.

So no guarantee finish higher in group stage would really give us better chances.

Yea, i was thinking exactly this when I looked at the table last week.

Finish top 2 might actually be worse this time around, than finishing 6-8
