CL semis? Hell no, not with our very favorable draw. Final, yes. Final means beating a very important team in a high pressure scenario. Haven't done that in 10 years.

Both had favorable draws. Until PSG for Xavi. Especially having to deal with Mbappe, Barcola, Dembele in 10 men is a tall order.

There is no mental gymnastics. The argument for Flick vs Xavi is at current situation. At current situation, Flick hasn't proved he can take out a big side in a decisive big match. Once he actually does it, not hypotetically but simply gets the job done, situation changes and he is already winning the fan duel with Xavi. It's quite simple.
