Possibly, and in many other posts you conveniently don't quote I've highlighted the importance of CL for the club.

Yoyu literally said only titles count.

Of course CL has impact but you literally said titles matter and to match Xavi have to win..

Now not the case though

We all know you will flip back again though as different argument when fits.

Nah, you just dumb it down as usual. There's merit of the argument that titles count most. You said it yourself. We can both own up to it just fine. Make it about titles as in the end they are the most important and simplest to assess. Cup, or no cup. Rest is statistic.

Do you still believ this to be true?

Or have you changed mind on that?

Dont try the old 'heres what I really meant' It is crystal clear what was said.

But to be better than Xavi, you need to achieve what he did in his time, which is a La Liga title.

You LITERALLY said to be better he 'has to match Xavi with a La Liga title'.

Mental gymnastics.

But you have spun on that.. lets see how long this one lasts until back to.. 'Xavi won titles'.

You're playing Flick's offside trap for debating I see.

No, I don't retract anything in this case. It's a complicated comparison. Easiest for Flick to match Xavi directly would be to win this league title, preferrably without huge luck, by beating both Atletico and Madrid. Absolutely true, comparing apples with apples is best situation really.

But I would make an exception if he does something that hasn't been done since 2015 when we beat Pep's Bayern in CL. That is knocking out a big team in a big big match in CL. Then the comparison becomes difficult, because you're comparing betwene two different types of achievements.

There we have it.

Back to titles matter above all else again.

Didnt take long and had to as know would contradict yourself again.

So lets get it clear now.

Does Flick have to win a trophy.. La Liga to match Xavi as previously claimed? Can he win nothing and match/eclipse Xavi?

Haha 'without huge luck'.. sensational.

Well, if you view it like that, at least we both agree with titles above all else, the bigger the better. Just make sure you follow through. I don't disagree with it btw.

Good conversation. I enjoyed it.

So you are now flipped back from half hour ago.

Textbook Serghie.

Back to 'Flick has to win titles to match Xavi'

Half hour after saying he doesnt.

Usual.

Desperate to be able to point to 'aveage points' or 'luck' if Flick wins it with players said were far too young/over rated and years away without 100s of millions.

Remember. Winning is what matters. La Liga or CL for Flick. He either wins at least La Liga or Xavi is better.

You back to claiming that again?

Only took half an hour from saying it doesnt.

All predicted of course as backed you into corner where had to contradict yourself.. which you did.. then flipped back again as said would.

If Flicks Barca win you will be gutted and looking for 'average points' and 'luck'.

You still think being away from Camp Nou matters etc? Or that only relevant for Xavi also?

Lets see how much of the mental gymnastics gets stuck to if Barca do or dont win this season.

Poor Xavi has these young players unable to compete for years and wee saplings like the over rated Pedri who simply couldnt cope to play any deeper than Xavi had him.

That fair changed.

Just before Xavi left, the tune around here was very very different. The fact the goalposts have moved so far is really testament to how good Flick has been.

Plenty thinking were miles behind Madrid and they were adding Mbappe, we were never going to be able to compete on level terms as per Xavi, obviously you were saying even competing with them for the title is a herculean task. I think you were saying even achieving CL quarterfinals was miraculous.

Goldfish memory... in August, this type of season would have been seen as unthinkable.
