Just before Xavi left, the tune around here was very very different. The fact the goalposts have moved so far is really testament to how good Flick has been.

Plenty thinking were miles behind Madrid and they were adding Mbappe, we were never going to be able to compete on level terms as per Xavi, obviously you were saying even competing with them for the title is a herculean task. I think you were saying even achieving CL quarterfinals was miraculous.

Goldfish memory... in August, this type of season would have been seen as unthinkable.

Goes both ways though. Back in 2022-23 nobody though we'd win the league 4 rounds in advance. It was unthinkable after Xavi took the team on 9th position in 2021-22.

In August if Xavi had been there it would have again all been about this over rated squad with players year and years away and over rated like Pedri who is weak and not the players folk think.

While pointing to budgets of EPL teams and Real.

No it wasnt.. literally told you had Barca as favs for league that season and bookies had it near on 50/50.

You had no belief in Xavi or the players and though Atletico were more likely,

More lies.

Barca were 9th with a game in hand and after hangover of Messi leaving and likes of Pedri/Dembele out for mosts part.

Results changed when those came back and got transfers in January.. before that no.

Barca were always finishing top 4 at least that season.

Yes as I had you on strings and made you say something you didnt want to as to not look foolish with your Bielsa take.

I said you would flip back.. took half an hour

Not really. I don't give a fuck frankly if I make my arguments more defined if asked to. I told you I value very high a CL final because it would be the first time in a decade when we'd take out a big team in CL knockouts.

If you or someone else posed that question months ago it would've been the same.

Now this is the argument.

Haha no.. you were made to say something you didnt even believe rather than admit wrong.

And as predicted flipped back.

You said CL final eclipses League win under Xavi.. yes I remember the argument you were backed into making then as quickly as predicted turned back again.

Textbook.

Nope. If you had asked for clarification for the post you quoted from the past, you would have got back then the same answer you got today. Easy confusion to make in arguments, not the end of the world.

If you want to know more about my opinion, you ask, and I clarify. Like I did today. Your "caught you with mental gymnastics" policing is fun though.

False... you literally said.

1. Flick has to win titles to 'match Xavi.
2. Then it was CL final eclipses Xavi even if dont win titles.
3. Back to Fick has to win titles.

As ever you go with word soup and little 'buzz' words to say 'heres what I really meant'.

It is the calling card as been said for years.

OK. Now you downloaded the updated version. Make sure this is the one you use 4-5 months from now. You want to update your "winning is what matters" stance to nuance it a bit? Maybe consider making a CL final is a bigger achievement for Flick than Xavi's La Liga title even if we lose?

I'm giving you this chance now. Take it before it's too late.

Jammy - If Flick gets to CL final and loses or CL semi final and loses does he eclipse Xavis peak at Barca?

Serghie - CL semis? Hell no, not with our very favorable draw. Final, yes. Final means beating a very important team in a high pressure scenario. Haven't done that in 10 years.

What is it about your oh so nuanced opinion that is being missed from this literal answer?

Sneakily put CL semis there knowing there is no top team until semis for us. I dig that sneaky dirty insertion.

But... again... winning matters most or in some cases losing is also a very big achievement? Like... for example... you lose a CL final vs a better team after already knocking out a top team until the final?

Yes, or no. Simple argument really.

Nothing 'sneaky' about it.. was making you double down on final by dismissing semi.. very easy.

So do you stick to Barca getting to final eclipsing Xavis peak as you clearly said above?

Now trying to add more to it when said getting to final was enough to eclipse it and claim 'heres what really meant'.

Textbook Serghie.

You asked the questions until now mate. Be a good sport. I just want to see what you really think. Really, no games. Or these games is all you care about?

So Barca beating a 'top team' on way to final eclipses Xavi winning league?

That your stance.. I mean its what you have said multiple times but just to be clear.

This is what will stick to as it is what you have said.
