So Barca beating a 'top team' on way to final eclipses Xavi winning league?

That your stance.. I mean its what you have said multiple times but just to be clear.

I already said yes. I gave you the argument here. We haven't done it in 10 years and is a key step for our team at the moment. I'd make an exception for the rarity of the event for a club in our situation.

Now your turn. Is it, or winning still what counts most? Take the title and consider that the title is easily better than a very impressive run in a difficult competition?

Don't start with your games . I want a clear honest answer that you can't backtrack later on. Or you can, but I'll summon your doppleganger to hunt you down if you do.

What are you even trying to say here?

No idea what that second line even attempts to mean.

You started the argument in favor of EV even though Bielsa achieved at Bilbao their best performance to date. The EL final of 2012 (double Cup finals that season even). Then used the argument that winning matters most.

It's quite simple. You made the argument that ending up top 4 in Spain is bigger achievement than making an European final. Or even winning Copa del Rey vs Mallorca on pens. Which is something that is puzzling to me. I want to know if you really think so, or you were just biased for EV.

I favoured EV as he quite clearly to anyone with a clue has had a far better time and peak than Biesla did,

No top 5 multiple times and winning only trophy in 40 years is clearly more impressive. Two trophies if include Supercopa.

Suits you not to think so.

EV lost a final to Barca.. he has lost a European Final with Espanyol.. a smaller club and literally have never heard anyone argue that as some huge 'peak' achievement. Never hear it mentioned at all yet that is Bielsas 'peak' with a bigger club.

As said.. I have seen Scottish sides lose multiple European finals.. none of them think that matters more than winning.

Why did he have higher peak than Bielsa's Bilbao?

Argument makes little sense. If he had higher peak, then surely he played in Europe. If he played in Europa League, why couldn't he make the final like Bielsa did?

Even though he had more chances.

Because he won... only trophy in 40 years and was far better in the league... their 4 best finishes in last 20 years all under EV... Only time played CL.. under EV.

There is a reason no one argues for EV losing a European final with Espanyol.. he has achieved a lot more..

Yet for Bielsa that is his 'peak' in Spain. Losing finals while mid table.

By your logic what EV did at Espanyol is more impressive than what he has done at Bilbao.. absolute nonsense.

Yes, but then we get back to Xavi - Flick is 1-0 in terms of big titles. If Flick ends with 0 this season, would you say Xavi is better than Flick after 1 complete season in charge?

I would say losing the CL final is not bigger acheivment than winning league. For either Flick or Xavi.

Dont agree with you on that at all.

It would dwarf anything Xavi did in Europe and would be part of debate on what is expected from Barca but on its own..no it doesnt eclipse winning a league.

Totally disgaree with you on that.. but I already know how you will weasel out that claim anyway.

Good. Thank you. If I go back months would I ever catch you in a single comment saying otherwise?

Go for it.. I wouldnt put losing CL final ahead of league.

I think Xavi last season could have had a better season than won before and won nothing there are competitors as Flick could this season but wont be a bigger 'peak' not to win.

Bring up any comment you wish.

Yes, as Bielsa beats anything EV did in Europe while managing Bilbao to date, no?

Not really.. went to final.. I dont count losing finals as dwarfing much. Decent run though.

Not comparable to CL either.. we are talking about a level Scottish sides lose at in far less significant and meaningful trophy.

What EV did at Espanyol is more impressive if want to compare the greatest losers medals.

What EV has done at Bilbao dwarfs what Biela did clearly.
