If you put in Dembele, move Griezmann behind Braithwaite, and move Messi more to the right, feeding off Dest's energy, this would look much better. With Messi walking in the middle or having to drop deep to get the ball and try some fancy passes, we're going nowhere.

Even Trincao would help us look better.

Barca struggle every away game in La Liga. Cost us the title last season and will cost us top 4 this season at this rate.

Good thing the younger, fresher, more hungry side is 7-0 away in the two games they played. Ah yes, CL teams are crap compared with La Liga bottom teams.

Ferencvaros barely lost away to Juve in min 93 before we smashed them.

Our best hope of scoring here is letting them have the ball, and hopefully loose it in some dangerous positions with players up field. We will not score two goals vs this bus.

Why are you treating Cadiz like prime Atletico? Cadiz haven't won in 3 games and lost their last two.

They're not world beaters. Just the kind of games that you have to win to compete for titles.
Surely better looking in defense than the shit show the CL bums provided

Anyway, as usual only times Barca looked like creating anything was when Messi was on the ball.

Alba nd a little less so Frenkie have been sloppy. One good pass down th inside channel is imply not good enough from a 140mill player in 45 mins of football. Hok Coutinho for Dembele. Anyone having a go at Busi is clueless, he's been fine, and only made a single missed pass by my reckoning. Made himself continually avalable and moved ball on well.

back to the same old shit!

We need to use various options at the same time to surprise the opponent and find spaces :
1/ Fast passing is important to break that defence.
2/ Dembel? as a left winger.
3/ Use the power of individuals to break them: Dembel? at left, Messi at the center/free movement; Dest at the right (he can dribble i think); and the runs of Alba.
If we combine well, we can generate better opportunities for scoring.

So pissed off Barca won without Messi.... the team played better. More energy, more variety, more movement.

Koeman doesn't understand jack shit about modern football and la liga, no wonder he failed in Everton. It's all about technique here but he's got too much pride to accept the way it is. f avi was here we'd be 3-0 now

It is because he cant handle criticism of team tonight with Messi in it and didnt like the praise for any aspect mid week... as Messi was not playing.

Yeah mate. Its not as if I was beating the not good enough drum since the start.
I was seething over Messi not flexing his balls over mighty Ferenc and Kiev

La Liga teams are well organised defensively at home because they know Barca well enough to know how to stop them. Barca can't break them down.

This Barca can't. Too slow.

Speed, agility, and workrate are not only beneficial in the counter-attacking phase. Or vs sides that open up. They improve a football team in every facet of the game. Including when you attempt to break down a low block compact defense.
