Lautaro Martinez

So Messi is in control of the club? hence why when he wanted to leave the board makes it impossible.

Lautaro rumors kinda died when it seemed that Messi is leaving.

Sorry, I am not buying a story that Messi has nothing to do with it.

He wanted to leave.
His best friend Suarez is forced out of a club.
Hid friend Vidal is gone.

Barto needed to give some gift to our man-child.

Don't be naive.

Messi is (or was) an awesome footballer.
That doesn't mean that everything he does off the field is good.

He was making love with Neymar after every goal.
Yet, he barely hugs or passes to Griezmann.

Don't be naive.
A lot of transfers, football decisions and mistakes were made because of too much power of Messi.

As has been mentioned, Lautaro rumours never went away. You just choosing to ignore it to fit your absurd narrative that Messi wants to Lautaro just because he is Argentinian.

Check your own post.

Mundo Deportivo writes today: "Barca is indifferent towards Van de Beek's signing for Man Utd because Barca don't need him, but a forward Lautaro for whom Inter is asking 80-100 millions"

If anyone from Barca or MD is lurking on our forum, seriously: Are you retarded?

Stop with this Lautaro Martinez bullshit.

No one sane wants him here.

You all deserve to be sacked at the end of the next season if you buy him and if you are writing articles about him.

People make out like decisions are made either by Messi or because of him. If that isn?t control of a club I don?t know what is.

You don't think Messi has any influence at the club?
I think most people believe he has a heavy influence and it would be absurd to believe otherwise. Does he have an absolute say in matters? no, otherwise we would not of bought Griezman.

Of course he does. Not claiming he doesn?t. My original point is aimed at those saying we?re suddenly after Lautaro again only because Messi is staying, as if we haven?t been linked to him all year including recently too.

It has been claimed Messi/amigos have too much influence from board.

Have never heard anyone claim Messi could tell board to leave and they would.

Maybe what I?ve said has been misunderstood, poorly explained by me. I?m literally just talking about the people making out we?re only interested in Lautaro now that Messi is staying.

Griezmann was signed by time Barca were made aware Neymar wanted to return.

The summer before it was reported that Messi and Suarez both wanted him and felt betrayed when decide to stay at Atleti.

Not sure Messi influence had too much weight on that transfer but nor did they go against him.

I think a huge reason they are after Lautaro is due to Messi and how they play together for Argentina but club were still being linked last week.

Yeah originally our interest stems from the fact he?d probably work well with Messi but I don?t think that?s special Messi treatment, it?s just what any team does. You buy players to suit the squad. Lautaro was originally seen as this feisty, high energy, good linkup striker who had power and technique and his early season form suggested he also had the goals to go with it. Based on that form he was a great target. Not so much anymore though but I guess we?re dealing with the most incompetent board in recent memory.

You are both 100% correct and this is also true in the NT.

What's OTT though are the posts putting the rap on Messi for shitty signings or player selection.

For me, that's all on the board and coaches. For signings, Barca should have used its mega-budget to invest in data-based analytics + improve the scouting resources + hire better recruiters/sporting director than mad daft Abidaffodils.

A player can be GOAT on the pitch and clueless as to what's really needed. That's the whole point of having pros specialized in their fields. A top board would inspire confidence in their project and that's usually achieved with a history of consistent smart decisions rather than empty promises full of hot air.

As for deciding formations and squad selection, I just laugh remembering how lost Chihuaha Samp was when asking Messi for instructions during the game.

oh my dayz, Herve Renard would never...

I have zero problem with constructive and valid criticism about Leo. It's when posters go full Evita Peron and blame Messi for everything including the spoiled broccoli or the photo dude spraining his wrist that things get ridiculous.

End of the day, dude's a player. Not his fault if neither board or coaches step up their game.
