Nothing is sure. Marseille can still taje the third CL slot.

I think France will do really well in continental play next season. Perhaps well enough to overtake Portugal in the UEFA coefficients.


edit: Correct me if I'm wrong but next season the new tv deal kicks in whilst there's also a few new or renovated stadiums that are opening(Lyon, Bordeaux, PSG). In addition, french clubs continue to become more popular to foreign investors after every season, Bordeaux being the most current club with rumors surrounding potential buyers. Hopefully this helps to secure the finances of Ligue 1 clubs as the championship looks to be improving across the board.

Portugal is losing a lot of points at the end of the season, so France only needs to do marginally better than Portugal to regain 5th place.

Interestingly, Italy will have a decent chance of overtaking Germany as well, and though I doubt that will happen, it very well could if only Bayern performs.

Hopefully Marseille get the CL spot and we strike that partnership with them, Azpi and Drogba should vouch for us. Sending players to a CL club, can't argue with that.

He was competing with three PSG players, but he was elected by his peers best player in Ligue 1 2014/2015 is Alexandre Lacazette who triumphed on Sunday at the UNFP Trophies. The Lyon striker (27 goals / 5 assists) is 23 years recognized as the best in the profession. What will fill with joy Jean-Michel Aulas.

Right-back Fabinho will remain with Monaco next season after his loan from Portuguese club from Rio Ave was converted to a permanent deal.

Fabinho has played at Monaco since 2013 and signed a contract to tie him to the Principality club until 2019.

The 21-year-old made 35 appearances in Ligue 1 this season and signed despite reported interest from Barcelona.

Monaco president Dmitry Rybolovlev has already chosen which player he wants to lead the attack of Leonardo Jardim’s team next season: Mario Mandzukic. According to France Football, the club’s Russian owner wants to strengthen the team to compete in next season’s Champions League. After seeing the departures of Falcao and James Rodríguez last summer, Rybolovlev wants to put together a competitive squad to fight for silverware in all competitions.

Mandzukic has a contract at Atlético Madrid until 2018 but Monaco could pay €25 million for the Croatian striker, who has scored 20 goals in 42 matches this season. Atleti paid Bayern Munich €22 million for his services last season.

The arrival of Mandzukic to Monaco will in turn lead Atlético to turn to Radamel Falcao. The Colombian will return to Monaco with Manchester United deciding against exercising the option to buy the striker for €55 million. The striker played at Atleti for two seasons, scoring 52 goals in 88 matches.

According to L’Équipe, St Étienne have reached a total agreement for the transfer of left-sided Frenchman Franck Tabanou to Swansea.

The player is all set to join Swansea in the middle of this month for a €5m fee. He has not signed the contract, but a three year deal has been agreed.
