According to La Provence, Marseille manager Marcelo Bielsa’s agreement to sign a two year contract extension should be announced today.

An agreement was reached two days ago and should be signed today by Bielsa, who was at the Toulon tournament yesterday and will be at the Champions League final tomorrow before going home to Argentina. By Sunday, he will have made a decision on his future. In the coming hours, the suspense could be over.

Gignac really say that? Figured he and Ayew were in good terms.

Edit: Ayew officially off too Swansea to play for a subpar side with no European competition in their future. Sounds like Ligue 1... The Russians handling Marseille need to get the hell out.

Monaco are loosing all their best players it seems which is going to be really bad for the league.

I can't see fekir and lacazette staying at lyon for much longer either.

It was starting to get really interesting.

I think you should be more concerned with the EPL's inability to produce youth of quality than Monaco losing youth they'll have no difficulty replacing.

Sterling, Kane, Ibe, Rlc, Januzaj, Perrera, Shaw, Oxlaide-Chamberlain, Not to mention the chelsea youth team which just one the youth champions league and countless others i can't be bothered to list. Didn't really think about that one did you.

Kondogbia, Fabinho, Martial, Berbatov, Falcao and more all looking to leave monaco which is a bit of a shame but the owner has no choice. This is why FFP was put in to stop owners spending ridiculous money then giving up after a year or two. If i were you i would be worried about QSI calling it quits one day soon instead of worrying about trying to say english clubs don't produce youth talent...

Sterling, Kane, Ibe, Rlc, Januzaj, Perrera, Shaw, Oxlaide-Chamberlain,

Who?

Not to mention the chelsea youth team which just one the youth champions league and countless others i can't be bothered to list. Didn't really think about that one did you.

Does this somehow negate from the fact that the English youth system is garbage? No.

Kondogbia, Fabinho, Martial, Berbatov, Falcao and more all looking to leave monaco

Kondogbia didn't want to leave, Monaco simply weren't going to turn down 40m for a player of his quality. Martial is going nowhere, ASM has made that clear. They don't want Falcao, and they didn't want Berbatov(old) who was their first free departure. Etc.

which is a bit of a shame but the owner has no choice. This is why FFP was put in to stop owners spending ridiculous money then giving up after a year or two.

FFP was put into place to keep in tact the status quo, that's obvious. Which is why it will soon be nixed and or heavily rescinded:

The Court of Justice of the European Union will decide on the legality of the Financial Fair Play. It is the decision of the court of first instance in Brussels following the action by lawyers Jean-Louis Dupont and Martin Hissel . Consequently, the second stage under UEFA is suspended pending the decision of the ECJ . But not the Financial Fair Play in its entirety. So this is a first victory for the complainants, especially as it will encourage the European football body to relax its rules. Remember, Mr. Dupont had asked the court to suspend, initially, the phase 2 of fair play, which limits the permitted deficit 30M €, and invited him to ask the European Court of Justice the question of the compatibility of UEFA's settlement with the European treaties. This is exactly what the court decided.

Other lawsuits are pending. But the foundations of the FPS are already in question.

Either way, didn't stop Ligue 1 from owning the EPL in the UCL.

If i were you i would be worried about QSI calling it quits one day soon instead of worrying about trying to say english clubs don't produce youth talent...

I have no worries. QSI has more money, is more business savvy, and has greater political influence than every club & ownership group in the EPL. I'd be more concerned with the Qatari's buying London, which they're effectively doing(along with a host of other European cities) and the implications of that then them leaving the lucrative business that is football.

No need to turn this into a league war. The french league gets pillaged every summer, nothing new. In terms of uefa rankings it's only Lyon that needs to hang on to the talents. Monaco and Marseille aren't natural CL material, kinda wish for Monaco to get bumped down in the group stage so there's finally two decent clubs in the europa.

Anyone who have watched Marseille last season could tell me how good Imbula is? Every source in Italia reporting that his transfer to Inter is almost done. Is he a DM or CM? From youtube videos he looks more like a CM than a DM.

Yeah right, the whole country talk shit! Whatever.

Where is Bertus? Still annoyed? He seems to be the only guy who could give useful infos about the French league.
