Thats just a fucking lie, Messi has followed a strict diet for years, and has maintained his fitness (and injury resistance) far more then most players his age.

What do people expect? He obviously doesn't want to be here. He was forced to stay here. That's going to affect your attitude and performance. I know he's been unlucky with a few shots, but you can tell by his body language that he's giving up easily when things are not going his way.

Ok, so little dictator, chief Amigo theory is now all but officially confirmed. Both by Tata Martino and by Setien. No surprise. We all saw Messi live disrespecting the managers.

There is no doubt that Messi will be difficult to manage as a lot of superstars are, but the truth is Martino and setien were out of their depth at Barca. I don't think they've even managed a world class player in their career let alone one of the greatest. They must have thought they were dreaming when they got the barca job because no serious top club would even think about hiring them.

Valverde was also an underwhelming appointment, but he figured out how to get the most out of the players and the players also seemed to like him. These are players that are playing at the highest level, that have won the biggest trophies. Setien is naive if he thinks the Barca dressing room will be the same as las palmas. They are not going to respect a nobody and probably became even more disillusioned after his training methods, tactics and results. I don't blame setien for his failure, the board is to blame. He shouldn't have been appointed and was in over his head. He pretty much admitted who is he to tell Messi what to do.

It usually applies to everything. Imagine having a class with some of the best students but getting them an average teacher. It's likely the students will think they know better and won't respect him.

They aren't some hard workers who want everybody to work hard and are a model, setting high standards for everyone to compete at the top. They are usually the laziest players out there who want what is best for them and their friends.

And CR7 was still able to score goals or improve the team.

I know that this sounds harsh, but a current version of Messi can't improve any big team.
He would pull down all of them with his walking, dropping deep, dribbling through 4 players and being unable to score.

Even in January or July, I don't believe that anyone will buy him.
He is getting 100m wages and he currently plays as a 3m player.

Even without transfer fee, who would buy this version of Messi with his wages?
Only Psg and City to improve their image of plastic clubs and to sell some shirts.

Sporting wise, no serious club would buy a current Messi.

In terms of overall play there's not that much difference with the Messi we saw last season (19-20) under Valverde.

This is pretty much facts. Winning cures most things. As Barca fans, we looked past the serious personal flaws/character issues of MSN in 2015-2016 when they were the most lethal attacking trio in club football history. Neymar shady and unprofessional from top to bottom, Messi with his tax issues back then and a deep stubbornness to adapt his game, and Suarez with a litany of biting incidences and unprofessionalism with his fitness.

You're going over the top comparing with Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos, they didn't even go training and were overweight.

I thought koeman, even if he isn't the best tactically, would command some respect and be able to rest the veterans. I don't know if he's afraid or whatever, but he should do whatever he thinks is the best for the team. He probably thinks Messi should play every game, he even thinks busquets should. If he is afraid, he's not the man for the job.
