This season 74 shots in 11 vs 11.
11 new shots tonight.

1 goal from an open play scored.

From GOAT to WOAT at finishing in 12 Months.

Seriously, was there ever a player who scored 1 goal from 70+ attempts?

EXACTLY! Than you know shit about this club and how things were before the best era in the history of this club! If you think the amount of trophies won since 2006 is NORMAL for this club than you are in for a big surprise.

No, I said before that I am content with a 3-4 year winless streak in La Liga even. I do not think that the streak since 2006 is normal, everyone knows it was one of the best teams in history and few teams can dominate like that, and it's thanks to Pep, Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Dani and so on. However, the rebuild cannot start as long as Messi is here, other players naturally delegate the lead responsibility on him. For the club and Messi's sake, he has to go.

no amount of individual brilliance would change the result today.
this team is fucked in terms of shape and rhythm.

you could have the best players on the field and nothing would change.. its more than that.

idiots blaming messi for everything are either braindead or just in denial with barca's biggest legend wanting to get out of the sinking ship.
to some of them it's like getting dumped so they react like children.. it's understandable.

we need a better manager we need a better system.

Barca bar that first 25 minutes today played fairly well in terms of giving Messi a platform.

He played well also but couldnt take his chances. Far better than he has been in previous games.

Only good thing after this game is that people are starting to realise how shit we are and how out of his depth Koeman is.

Yep, Messi gets the most shit, because hes the face of our team, but its simply impossible to create a working team with this set of forwards - with or without Messi. I wont judge our midfielders either, terrible, terrbile squad planning.

A true Barca fan. How old are you? 15?

You should wonder why is that. Maybe we saw Barca before Messi and Ronaldinho in comparison to some of you young FIFA experts.

I'm not questioning why you aren't the supporter of a club, I'm questioning why are you fanboying over a player when you're 40 years old. This is literally the kind of shit my little cousins and I used to do when we were 13. We got it over it, and we're closer to 13 than you are to 30. Don't you realise just how cringe you're being? lmao.

Maybe go to his Instagram or a twitter fanpage with all the other fanboys, instead? Perhaps then you'll get the kind of discussions you're looking for...

It is also impossible to create a team that plays with pace and variety and constantly presses from front with Messi in it.

Double edged sword as he is best on ball but impacts the way team play as a whole in other ways negatively.

I agree it's time to go for him. It's the best for all sides. That's not even questionable. Problem is the amount of disrespect people are showing towards him. He wanted to go in summer and we didn't let him so this is 100% on Bartomeu and not Messi. It's unbelievable how some people here thought that unsatisfied Messi will deliver his 30+ goals and 20 assist this year. He is clearly depressed and his displays are the result of that.

Thing is, even from Messi's point of view, if he's not totally obsessed with money, he should take a cut and spend the last years of his career somewhere else. Messi and current Barca is a mutually bad affair.

Barca need to rebuild without him, he needs better forwards and defenders so he can be the "no 10" he wants. PSG would be a good fit. City not so much.

I'm completely sure of it that once Messi joins City or PSG next season he'll be back to absolutely bossing it again.. This team is not good enough and hasn't been for years now

He'll be like 40 next season (exaggerating but you get the point).

There is no way back ever again.
That's nature.

The only question is:
1) will he stay as bad as today
2) will he get only little worse than today
3) or will he get way worse than today

An option: he regained a form longterm doesn't exist.

I really hope the board sees this too, Messi has tried and is forever a club legend but it's time to leave so we can really start a rebuild at the very least

People think he played well. Had a few nice moments and came into the box often but missed all his chances as a striker. An attacker who can't score is useless.
Add to that that the team plays with 10 men every time the opponent has the ball.

And now watch him do shit in the league because he ran more than 5km today.

He looked like a 27 year old today in most parts of his game even some of his shooting. Buffon made two good saves from him

I just hope he goes to a team that doesn't look to pass to him every single time.

I don't have the stats, but I feel that he did not touch the ball nearly as much during the Guardiola era.
