Lionel Messi - v7

So beating Kiev and Ferncvaros is an 'achievement' when Messi is starter but beating them and playing better as a team away is just a 'dead rubber' agaiinst utter dross. Got it!

Gets better.

Top spot was decided in Juve game due to Barca winning the games before it... all of them... home and away.

Yes mental gymnastics at its finest as I said.

Nope, you and the other retards thought of it as achievements. I just pointed out that only the return games get mentioned, even though we qualified before that, with Messi as starter.

So we won the first three games, with Messi, and won two more without him - what's to discuss here?! But no, you think of the two away games at Budapest and Kiev as some kind of achievement that couldn't be done with Messi on the field.

I'm starting to think you are losing it. Take a break

Now now less person abuse keyboard hardman.

Folk pointed out Barca played well as a team in those games and showed more movement/pressing etc. You are the one that couldnt handle that being said about game Messi didnt play in. That simple really.

Yes won first three with Messi and next two with him and group was not a dead rubber by time those last two games were played. Not for Barca and not treated as such by opposition.

Who has said Barca couldnt win with Messi in those two away games? This is just more examples of your hysterical reaction to a team being praised with Messi not in it.

You are the one that needs to get past the Messi obsession that leads to such irrational emotional responses and leads you to abuse folk for different opinions.

'Folk pointed out' as in either saying that we play much better without him or that we barely scraped through in the home games with him in the team. Most recent bullshit(which actually started this argument) was thrown by BBZ.

So as much as you like to spin it around, the haters still found ways to make it about Messi pulling the team back and not letting us play champagne football.

The likes of BBZ who is on one end of argument and you at other may have claimed better without Messi but if you want to go back and check I argued with BBZ that the best performance in CL was Juve away when Messi played.

The team playing with such movement and pressing as a unit cant happen with Messi as he cant do that and folk enjoyed that in those games as rarely see it from Barca these days. The team played better and were more enjoyable to watch than in the home legs vs those same teams. It doesnt mean the team is always better without Messi which clearly is not the case but what he brings is the individual ability at expense of movement and pressing. That is not even debatable.

I like it that he casually left out the 3 matches in the CL that Leo played in and got us qualified.

So he's left with two dead rubber CL games and a half that ended 1-1 against naive Betis.

We definitely lost/drawed with him on the field this season, but so did the other players that started those matches.

Well he is BBZ, he love this thing to create a debating scenario

Lets hope our captain, 6 time ballon d'or, lead us to victory tonight and breaks that record held by brazilian fossil of most goals scored for a single club.

Points for everyone to check tonight:
1. When we attack, look at how Busi, Frenkie and Alba are always looking for Messi.
If another teamate is in a better position, they will still rather pick Messi.
2. When we are attacking, the whole team slows down, we take positions around the box, and then we wait for Messi to jog to the box and play through the middle
3. When Messi gets the ball around the box, he will try captain obvious 1-2s, hero looped through balls to Alba or dribble through 4 opponents at the edge of a box
4. Also, majority of players are scared to shoot because Messi is lurking at the edge of a box all the time and waiting for the pass

Now, how to play faster and versatile in attack with these 4 points?

How to expect any creative freedom from Cou and Griezz?

agree 100% which might be the first time

tight one-twos is all we ever do and we never ever score from them. honestly, think back on this season's goals, how many have we scored from breaking through in those extremely tight situations around the edge of the box? with how much time and effort we devote to this strategy, you would assume that most of our goals come from this. but no. literally anytime we score it's because of something else. winning the ball up high and taking advantage, breaking through on the wing for a low cross, attacking with collective momentum. or some other actually effective idea which we then cast off as a non-sequitor and go back to the thing that never ever works.
