If Messi scores a brace today, he'll surpass Pel? as the player with the most goals scored for a single club. [md]

This is it.

The moment we've all been waiting for.

Let's hope The GOAT , The Best Fifa Football Player , Ballon D'or and Laureus award scores 2 goals against Real Sociedad.

agree 100% which might be the first time

tight one-twos is all we ever do and we never ever score from them. honestly, think back on this season's goals, how many have we scored from breaking through in those extremely tight situations around the edge of the box? with how much time and effort we devote to this strategy, you would assume that most of our goals come from this. but no. literally anytime we score it's because of something else. winning the ball up high and taking advantage, breaking through on the wing for a low cross, attacking with collective momentum. or some other actually effective idea which we then cast off as a non-sequitor and go back to the thing that never ever works.

Most goals come from mistakes from the other side. This has always been the case. Off course when you put loads of pressure on a side they make mistakes more easily.

Points for everyone to check tonight:
1. When we attack, look at how Busi, Frenkie and Alba are always looking for Messi.
If another teamate is in a better position, they will still rather pick Messi.
2. When we are attacking, the whole team slows down, we take positions around the box, and then we wait for Messi to jog to the box and play through the middle
3. When Messi gets the ball around the box, he will try captain obvious 1-2s, hero looped through balls to Alba or dribble through 4 opponents at the edge of a box
4. Also, majority of players are scared to shoot because Messi is lurking at the edge of a box all the time and waiting for the pass

Now, how to play faster and versatile in attack with these 4 points?

How to expect any creative freedom from Cou and Griezz?

Yes, I think you have a point here

Or focus when someone goes behind defence how the only player who would attempt such a pass would be messi, im talking about ball over defence not through
Or focus on how many crosses at 7-11m area someone from braithwaite or griez would fuck up in one on one situations.

Or focus how pjanic(if he plays) and coutinho would shoot outside the 16m nowhere near the target.

Messi is not playing near his best, but others need to get their shit together and start performing near their star status.

No coincidence that the two biggest games of the season are the two messi performed at his best in. Juve home and away. It looks like he doesnt have the motivation for most league games really. He wanted a new challenge and that was Southampton away not cadiz. He might be fully motivated for sociedad though seen as they're the league leaders

1. When we attack, look at how Coutinho does nothing.
If another teammate is in a better position, he will still rather pass it backwards to Alba.
2. When we are attacking, the whole team slows down, we take positions around the box, and then we wait for Coutinho to have a shot blocked or pass to alba
3. When Coutinho gets the ball around the box, he will try captain obvious longshot from silly angle, easy balls to Alba or dribble nowhere
4. Also, majority of players are scared to shoot because they're not very good at shooting.
Now, how to play faster and versatile in attack with these 4 points?

How to expect any creative output from Messi and Griezz when the entire left wing is this?

just for the banter don't take too seriously pls. But I do have a few good points...

Look at how Liverpool played when Coutinho was important part of their attack. It wasn't slow.

The same liverpool with an entirely different manager, playing style and set of players with different skillsets to the ones at barca?

Our system is shit. It was made for Messi and Suarez. We are still following the same model. Slow down till the opponent has time to park the bus and then we try to break it. Good luck with that.

If we play system like this we should sign Girourd and cross balls to box. We would have more success.

We have seen this for years, Barca "system" works for almost no player. It takes too much invidual skill and now that Messi is declining, even this is not working.

It's not easy to break the bus by playing the ball on ground. We need more options.

I agree with point #1 and 2, but the better question is why are those players always looking for Messi with other players in better position?
If you watch Argentina's recent matches, you can see players passing to other players who are in better positions rather than to Messi even when Messi drops deep.
Argentinian people recognizes that and say how they are playing with Messi rather than for Messi.
If Argentina can play like that, why can't Barca?? The onus is also on players like Busi and Alba to change.

Point #3, I think we mostly played like that whenever we faced a deep block since 10 years ago.
This is more on the team's strategy and I agree that we should have more variety of ways to attack.

Point #4 that's a bit of an exaggeration.

Still waiting for that tall, strong, good heading PLAN B striker as sport.es and mundodeportivo were talking for almost 10 years so Barca can beat park the bus teams...

From Oscar Cardozo to Giroud.
I think Giroud would score at least 15 goals as backup striker.

He is an free agent. Would be perfect. We don't lack possession, we lack finisher in the box. He would help us.

I doubt he wants to leave London. He would be pure substitute though.
