I said Messi was garbage a 1-2 months ago after his performance against Kyiv, I think. Doesn't mean great players can't put together a good stretch of games that makes them worthy of an individual award.

And I do think PSG had an easy run to the final. That is my opinion.
Messi may have a different opinion, and that opinion does not mean he is playing games and winking at PSG, as you put it. He can wink in many other ways to PSG.

If it was in August/September then this Messi sending a message narrative doesn't make sense since he was City bound if it wasn't for Barto. If it was after that period then there might be something to it.

Messi voted for 3 players who made the champions league final. Only one really was the best last year but you can see where he's coming from. Also neymar has 5 champions league goals this season which counts
