Lionel Messi - v7

Anyway, with his salary gone, we'll be saving well over 100M just from that anyway, so it's like selling him for 130M instead of 30M, which is a fantastic profit on a 33-year old, let's be honest, almost finished former best player in the world. And if everyone is so worried about being branded the president who lost Messi, why not sell him now in the mean time? It's perfect! Tusquets won't be at the club going forward, and either Laporta or Font can start their reign FRESH with a new team. And I feel like us fans could very well use, even NEED a fresh start by now. And it starts with Messi, simple as that. Not just for his sake, but for other trash in the team from the last few years (Busquets, Alba, Pique, Lenglet, Griezmann, Coutinho, Pjanić...) that I suspect will be soon to follow, cause they'll know the jig is up, the club is moving forward, and their days of 'passing to Messi' as a way of hiding how shit they are themselves are gonna be over. A new year is coming, and with it, a new story. It's a MUST at this point.

Makes 300m in marketing revenue and attracts sponsors.

Spare me the wannabe accounting thanks

While Messis problem now is part physical, that doesnt explain why his passing and shooting suddenly went from GOAT level to this.

A year ago a free kick was like a penalty for him and now he couldn't score from a FK even if his life depended on it. How the hell did this happen?

decline

I was of the belief he was just half arsing it counting down the days until he can leave but that would be so unprofessional, don't believe Leo would risk his legacy here like that especially when he knows he can leave at the end of the season

Tusquets won't be at the club going forward, and either Laporta or Font can start their reign FRESH with a new team and without carrying around the blame of losing Messi, even though we all know it's necessary, but it's still a huge milestone for this club, and a new president doesn't deserve to carry around that blame/pressure right from the start of his presidency.

And I honestly feel like us fans could very well use, even NEED a fresh start by now. And this can only well and truly happen, if Messi leaves. It starts with him, simple as that. Not just for his sake, but for all the other trash in the team of the last few years (Busquets, Alba, Lenglet, Pique, Griezmann, Coutinho, Pjanić...) that I suspect will be soon to follow after that, cause they'll know the jig is up, and their days of 'passing to Messi' as a way of hiding how shit they are themselves are gonna be over. Thats what I am asking myself. And he turned to Ronaldo with this FK thing. Let someone else shoot ffs... Messi cant score and better let go.
