Lionel Messi - v7

That is just passing buck from Messi not playing well or finiding way to influence game enough. He was poor and off the ball was a disaster if want to compare him to best player in other team in Mbappe.

Messi struggles these days to improve those around him or make overall team better. He needs ball in final third or is ineffective too often.

Mbappe was far better than Messi in midweek even allowing for their team mates.

why compare two players who are 12 years apart, who live completely different situations in their career, with two teams who live totally opposite moments?
You may wonder if Messi was better at 22, or wait to see what Mbapp? will do at 34

Again more excuses for Messi when is as poor as last week.

If dont like to compare Messi to other top players dont... but the comparisons are only allowed when it is positive for Messi for some.

When the argument is 'dont compare 34 year old Messi to 22 year old Mbappe' that tells its own story of the difference between the two in mid week.

Couldnt care less what Mbappe does at 34. Completely irrelevant.

There you go mate. Happy now?

Let's hope The GOAT , the 6 times Ballon D'or , 6 time Europe golden boot winner , 10 times best player in Spain , 7 times Pichichi winner , 3 times Uefa Best player of the year , Fifa World player of the year , The Best Fifa Football Player IFFHS player of the decade and Laureus award scores a perfect hat-trick, assists another two goals and keeps a clean sheet against Elche. While also donating his annual salary to BarcaOG so he can buy himself some humble pie.

And a current retired Totti aged 44 probably moves more off the ball than a current Messi.

I don't understand these people who still try to keep and somehow shoehorn Messi into the team.

He can stay for 6m per season and if he wants to play 10 mins per match, at home matches.

6m is insulting when Griezmann is on 23m and Umtiti and Lenglet are probably over 6m as well

Your comparison just doesn't make sense, period.

Is Messi, 34, a better player than Mbapp?, 22? Probably not; it would be unnatural (but the fact that the comparison is made already demonstrates Messi's greatness).

What does this prove? Absolutely nothing

If Mbappe would play in this slow, devoid of ideas and quality team,i wonder how he would look?Messi,in the right team(for example City),would still put better numbers at 34 years old than Mbappe.Mbappe doesn't even have 50% of the natural talent Messi has.
