Why not? It's a 10 team tournament with Argentina already pretty much guaranteed a Quarter-Final place. Other than Brazil I don't see any other nation that is clearly above them. Would hardly be some under-dog story to glory if Argentina ends up winning it.

I think for Argentina the CopaAmerica is more important than the two first matches of WC qualifiers. So even if they get 3 points only in those two matches, it's not a problem.

Copa America Knockout Stage > 1st two WC qualifiers > Copa America Group Stage
There are 5 teams in each group and the first 4 teams qualify for the knockout stages so unless they do insanely bad, Argentina don't have to worry much in the group stages.
