The next year will be the last WorldCup appearance for Messi. He will certainly focus on being physically in shape for that challenge.
Sure it will be really difficult, but the point of the whole story is to continue trying, not giving up. And everything remains possible in life.
I see him continue 2 years in Barcelona, until 2023
He still has a lot of give and to produce, provided that he is happy and surrounded by a functioning positive team with clear roles for everyone.

Maybe you can't read. You said he needs to learn to score v RM. I countered with pointing out the fact that he's the all time top scorer v RM in football history.

I think it comes down to tactics and Messi. Slow possession game is tough way to break world class teams. It will always hurt Messi and Barca.
Look at first thirty minutes, Chelsea basically run over Real with their fresh new legs. They should have ended the tie in 30 minutes imo.
Pulisic would do crap with Barcas possession game. Chelsea had tons of space.(because their movement etc and faster play).

Pulisic and the Chelsea team are also young and hungry.
When Barca and Messi were that in 08 through 15, we dominated world class teams, not just beat them.
Some people in here judge players' entire careers based off the last 3-4 years.

well you seem to think its totally fine that messi the supposed goat can go so long without scoring against our arch rivals. which of course you would do since you cant come up with a single plausible argument that explains that which doesnt require admitting messi just isnt that great anymore and is well past it. in kingleo world you can still be the best even when 1) you dont perform in the CL KOs for years on end and 2)when you choke for 8 games straight against your BIGGEST rivals. super low standards: anyone could be goat in kingleo world if thats all it takes

Totally true and totally natural. It's our reality now and that's why we are building younger team. You can't ride oldies forever. Not even Real Madrid. (They won't win CL with their oldies).

hmmm so only PSG is the available option. Honestly, i dont see PSG stronger than barca if we sign 2-3 new players. We had already dominated them in return leg and should have won the tie if dembele wouldnt have been dumbele. Messi shouldnt end his career with playing in a farmer league.
