I've yet to see a reliable source suggesting Messi himself specifically calling for certain players to be signed this summer.
Barcelona don't even know if he's going to stay for certain right now even though Laporta have told people he's very optimistic. They won't even make an offer to him before Mid/Late-May when the audit of the club is completed.

Man this is common that player ask for certain players. Messi also wanted Pogba back in Luis Enrique days. Bayern for example ask some Players which players to sign.

I don't think you quite got my point here though.
I'm not saying that it's impossible. I'm saying that overreacting based on conjecture is silly. No reliable reporter or journalist have reported that Messi has asked Laporta or Barca to sign Aguero or Neymar because Messi himself hasn't 100% committed to staying at Barca. He's reserved that decision to the end of the season.
Pretty valid to me.
All that journalists reporting messi will stay, then the next day they say he'll leaving for psg and so on.
I think we'll just have to wait until this season ends. If la liga is ours, Everything will sound nice to my ears.
It gives a few people here the chance to hate on Messi so it?s believed as 100% true. Incredible really when apparently Messi has demanded Neymar and Aguero for years (according to some people) and yet they?ve not been signed and in that same time period we?ve spent half a billion. No logic in believing Messi is driving certain transfers

It was always rumoured that his priority is having a competitive team over money. Now it's time for him to prove that.
I just hope that "competitive team" in Laporta's and Messi's mind means (trying to) sign Haaland (as tough and expensive as that would be) rather than getting his amigos Neymar and Aguero (back) to the club. I would accept signing Aguero on a 1-year contract (with wages obviously being relative to his role) as a backup to Haaland but Neymar's return is a big no for me for multiple reasons which probably doesn't need to be explained.

Neymar would make the team better and more competitive assuming Haaland is only available from 2022 which seem likely now. Would also bring in a lot of value to the club commercially.
Now you can argue that comes at a cost Barca might have to pay later, possibly a heavy one......but he would improve the team given our wingers are French Agbonlahor, Trincao who need to go on loan and Ansu whose status is unknown.
