Tbf you could probably point fingers at every player at Anfield too along with Ernie, apart from Messi who genuinely had a good game IMO.

Valverde gets lots of hate but was better than setien and koeman i think

Whats good about just doing what veterans want? Ernie was a loser who will be remember for 2 cl humiliations and ruining an invincible season vs levente.
A really clueless idiot.

You could put anyone of the street in that job and say just make sure the veterans are happy snd you get the same results.

Messi is weird in that regard. He wants a cl winning team but also be comfortable with his friends.
You cant have your cake and eat it too.

If Messi had been managed by Pep or near Pep level managers for all of 2010s, he would have at least 1, maybe 2 more CL. It's a shame and the board is the first to blame but Messi himself shares some blame for it too.

Transfer rumor is that Hazard is interested in joining Barcelona on the condition that Messi host weekly team BBQs [RAC1]

He does in 2016 and 2018 for sure, but that 2019 meltdown was due to all other 10 players playing like absolute clowns.

We should have won the CL in 2019 man. Freaking Spurs in the final. What a joke. Not even that mad about the Roma debacle, but Liverpool.....

Yeaaaah, 2019 should have been our year. Ter Stegen, Alba and Suarez were the main reasons why we didnt reach the final :(
It was more than just them.

The whole backline, Midfield, Suarez all shat the bed and Dembele missing that chance at the Camp Nou. But I'm not sure that goal would have really mattered in the end, because that Anfield game was just bad man.

IF(and it's a big if) Aguero stays fit, he can still be a very good player especially in La Liga for 2 years. We don't have any forwards and i don't know what you guys are smoking, but no way we can afford Haaland. A summer containing a CB, Neymar and Aguero is a good transfer summer in these circumstances. Although i think it'll be more in the line of Depay+Aguero(which is worse) if Koeman stays.

Messi reads and anticipate the game faster than any defender. Surround him with scared attackers who invariably pass the ball back to him, then you force him to go solo and either the passes are intercepted before he even gets the ball or he's swarmed by defenders.

Team him up with skilled gutsy ballers and you get a killa squad able to improvise on the go. As impressive as he still managed to perform, it's crazy to say but it could've been so much more had sporting direction been on point.

What we did was like teaming up Miles Davis with Milli Vanilli. Woppa freakin letdown

Don't even understand why the Gods of Football would let that happen year after year after year :slap:

Next Mercato will be key. Huge opp for new board to stamp their sig and set a new course. The fact that Koe is notorious for being stubborn could be used strategically to get rid of the mushmush and convince the personnel non-grata to move on.

Messi and Ney already stated they'd be willing to take a pay cut and even deferred payment in case of Ney. If the summer signings can be swayed to accept performance based remunerations with bonuses vs set pay, this would be huge!

No other team has managed to do it so far so Barca could be trendsetters wowz! :boss:
