Lionel Messi - v7

Whether he is staying or going, Laporta should do well and not give him more money than it's reasonable in these times. We should see what's the biggest salary in football right now, and pay him just a bit more than that. Nothing outrageous.

Let's be honest here, Messi will still be getting 500k a week. I'm just wondering if he's still going to get that 33m loyalty bonus and a signing-on fee if he signs a new contract.

Imo he should stay if he really loves barca. He knows that the club needs him and lets be honest its not like going to PSG is a guarantee for CL, especially if Mbappe leaves they wont win CL. Barca may be trash but even we had dominated them in paris and with a striker we would have won the tie.

I think Man City will be in for him if Messi decides to leave. I just think they're sitting back and being respectful. There is no way Pep misses the chance to sign Messi.

If City wins CL they will lose the hunger to win it again. The only other club which can afford Messi's afford is PSG and as i said i dont see them as a cl contender.

If Laporta is gonna pay him absurd money while the club is in a financial shithole, then he'll be sealing his own grave. If the man is trying to cut the costs and steady the ship, he'd better start with Messi's contract.

Still can't believe Messi decided to not play the last game and get a hattrick.

Don't think I will be able to forgive him for the next days.

Laporta will see it as a win from getting Messi down from 1.2m a week to 500k a week.

I've said all I needed to say about Laporta. But I don't have the same faith in Laporta as other people do.

Nah. If you win the Champions League for the first time, it would only increase your hunger to win it more. The City owners will make sure of it. They've always back their managers.... and I don't see it ending anytime soon.

You can bet EVERYTHING you have that the same suspects complaining about Messi staying would be the first to label him a coward and an opportunist and a traitor for leaving to PSG or City.

When that's the case, it's not a legitimate complaint. It's simply agenda.

Why would he be labeled as a traitor? The only downfall and even though within his rights is still harmful for the club he loves is the fact that he is leaving for free when the club can get few useful millions out of him that will help in the rebuild has he had a running contract. You never know .. he might not renew; he might renew and stay; or he might renew and leave for a fee (which would be amazing from him to support the club with)
