At the moment, there is NO total agreement between Messi & Barcelona for a renewal, but it is heading towards the right direction. Talks are on with his lawyers about certain bonuses - like for winning the Ballon D’Or, UCL, etc.

good luck with these bonuses

Lmao, imagine this messi in pep era or lucho one. Outcome would be the same. He lost pace but overall his decision making, his shot, everything improved. Cant wait they let spectators in stadium again, its a tragedy i watched him play only 2 times live

Messi in those days was a force of nature and had the ability to fold elite defenders with absolute ease. He is at best 50% of the level he used to be in his prime at this present moment, which is why he isn't dropping solo goals on a weekly basis.

His biggest ability in his young years was his dribbling when he took the ball and run into the defence, that were crazy times

"This is the time to send a strong message: that there is no contentment. We are not satisfied with just winning the league...we will bring quality into the squad in a couple of key positions." (Khaldoon Al Mubarak) A real "sporting project" for Leo

Messi could have way more money back in the day if he left Bar?a to join City.

Of course Money is a factor but not the only one.

Some Samaritans in this forum act like they told their boss "hey i don't care about money, i just want to work here"

City in the past have not paid big money for players. Record signing KDB 68m. (Like all clubs they have wasted money. But also David Silva 26 m Aguero 36 m Kompany 7m Zabalata 7m, all bargains).

Wages, difficult to assess, because do we really know what takes place? Barca have paid more than City.
KDB is rumoured to be on 18m pa and Messi 52m pa. But those in this site will report more accurately on Messi than myself.
But in my figures there is a huge disparity.

Those players were transfered in other times, 10 years ago. Now, City has splurged a lot of cash on defenders and fullbacks, c'mon, they and PSG are an embarassment and that's why that crook Perez wanted the SuperLeague. Chelsea too.

City maximum pay out for a player is 68m. KDB. That is not an embarrassment to anybody.

How much was Coutinho, Dembele and Griezman?

Well, imagine going yolo with busquets the turtle, no existing middlefield, and defence with lenglet as the strongest reference point considering the playing time and compare to prime xavi, iniesta, busquets, alves, pique, mascherano behind your back. Levels man
