Messi, when asked about his future at Barcelona, folliwing his return from the copa America.

?I am disconnected from everything, I am not looking at anything. Enjoying this moment, the people, falling down little by little about what this means and preparing to go on vacation with my family, which is what it is now. The truth is that happy, impossible to explain the happiness that I, my family and my friends feel. A beautiful madness all this"

Basically means.... he's going to sit back and see if they sort it. But I doubt he's going to wait around that long.

Laporta is going around saying everything is close and Messi will remain at Barcelona, but judging by what Messi said here, I don't feel it's close at all. I get that Laporta has to be positive and not give the fans any bad news, but I'd respect him more and more if they gave us the truth. It's not his fault if Messi leaves. Bartomeu fucked us over.

"Argentina and Italy will play the Diego Maradona Cup. The match is expected to take place in Naples either in December or January with an official announcement soon. This per TNT Sports." via RoyNemer on Twitter

Brand new Artemio Franchi Trophy maybe, #2 is coming ? :messi:

Best thing is that now, when relieved of pressure of not winning anything major for argentina in his career, he might see messi with idgaf attitude, trying impossible stuff and having fun. We might see the best messi in upcoming months, scoring corner kicks, some insane passing, and chips all over the place. Exciting!

Ya hopefully. It seemed to give Ronaldo more confidence and freedom when he won the euros. Let's hope he it doesn't affect him in a negative way. I mean hope he doesn't become relaxed and unmotivated. I don't think so because messi is very ambitious and motivated to always win

if CL embarrasments and 8-2 against bayern didn't demotivated him in a way to drastically drop his performances i doubt winning copa will. it can only be good thing

He's apparently staying.

5 year deal with a 600m termination fee. He had to drop his wages a lot more to able to do it. Although, it does depend on if we can keep lowering our wage bill a lot more.
