So MD says the announcement is imminent (citing L'Esportiu) while Sport says there is no real movement.

I don't doubt Messi wants to stay, La Liga's salary cap is the real hindrance now. So until Griezmann or Coutinho is out I don't really see how this could happen.

For fecks sake. Most of the people(me included) were complaining about his first five to ten games(don't remember) when he was sulking on the pitch a missing chances left and right.

He was terrible. He wasn't in it mentally. It was right criticism at the time.

He couldn't score, he couldn't dribble and didn't put in effort(compared to HIS normal level). Of course all thanks to Barto.

Go watch those games again and you will understand.

To be completely honest, a lot of fans were saying he was done. Not that he was just going through a rough spell. Blaming age and whatnot.
So criticism of bad form was fair, but fans jumped the gun as casual and drew wrong conclusions.
