Messi’s salary this season will be 20 million euros. This will help Bar?a comply with the league’s regulations.

now he's cutting the other half. so that way he plays for free, as you and other haters in here wanted all along.

He's not playing for free. He's still getting 20m euros a year, but he'll get that back more later down the line.

Also, will you stop with the hater part? You're sounding pathetic. I've been supporting Barcelona for over 30 years and I've been on this board for over 10 years.

i'll call him and ask him to drop that 20M a year bullshit. he has to play for free in order to show that he cares.

maybe he gives back 10 or 20M, for all the damage he done to this club.

Sarcasm doesn't work on me, buddy.

Anyway, I never had a problem with Messi staying or us paying him around 300k or 400k a week, I had a problem with us giving up our experienced depth to keep one man here.... which is what we appear to be doing.

I'm just saying, our starting 11 seems decent next season, but we're probably going to rely on a lot of La Masia for squad depth next season. Also, if we swap Griezmann for just Saul... we've made Atletico big favourites for the La Liga title again. We've gave up one of our main scorers and made them stronger.

Messi will have to carry us a lot more next season.

Just dont play him RW with Aguero CF.

Will be same old issues with Messi and Suarez together that was long done at top level.

Barca going to be a good watch next season I feel. Lots of young players and a happy Messi.

Roll on.

you didn't have much of a problem when our "experienced depth" was nowhere to be seen last season and messi carried us again.

griezmann is the only player that we might lose and provided something last season. guess the board thought that his output will be covered by aguero, depay and fati recovering.

don't know if that swap is the wisest deal, but we are kind of fucked otherwise. if saul is a solid performer and provides good cover for our starters, than it wouldn't be the worst deal ever.

Yeah, they cannot play Messi with Aguero. They just don't work well together. You know Messi will be looking for Aguero all the time if we're playing like shit.

I'm hoping Messi doesn't expect Barcelona to do what no Argentina coach has done, and that is have Aguero and Messi together as undisputed starters. Perhaps Aguero is there for subs and choripans, rather than actual starting 11.

We can't start both of them. They don't work well together. Never have with Argentina. Not to mention, Aguero does look finished. Looks like he's lost a lot of his agility and speed in the past 18 months. His finishing has looked off for a while.

It was reported recently that Ansu is going to start as the #9 anyway. Probably interchanging with Memphis in a game where they'll switch from LW and CF.

I don't mind us playing Fati up top with him rotating with Depay, I just don't want Aguero being our main striker and him playing together with Messi.... it'll end in a disaster. It's the reason why Aguero doesn't start with Messi in Argentina.
