Lionel Messi - v7

It sounds to me more like him and Messi both made a lot of sacrifices to agree on the deal, and they thought it was perfectly reasonable to present that to La Liga and for them to accept, because it would be in any other country right now. But La Liga wanted to push the image rights deal on them and say that Barca doesn't reach certain limits right now and they only would if they accept this deal. Laporta knows this would harm the club in the long run and he said he won't do it. So this is about La Liga being very stubborn about the numbers just so they can force Barca to accept the deal, they didn't expect Laporta to actually let go of Messi.

so they agree on something months ago and suddenly laporta finds out we are still way off? give me a break.

Tebas : 'You recently said we are broke. Now we are valued at 24.250mill, and we now have access to partners to grow the league, you are concerned about the future income of LaLiga that you left for dead. You are proven wrong.'

(Referring to how Laporta created the superleague to make money)

A really bad look you can't do that to the GOAT

In 1996, Cruyff was sacked after winning 4 La Ligas in a row, winning our first CL in 1992.
But he failed in 1995 and 1996 and was sacked.

Ronaldinho, one of our best players ever, was sold/forced out in 2008, aged only 28.
Rivaldo was forced out aged 30.

Messi managed to stay till the age of 34.

Yeah, if anyone thinks that Tebas is going to help us needs to think again. Tebas and Laporta hate one another.

Bar?a are still unable to register any of their signings and must continue to reduce the debt, despite the non-continuity of Messi. [cope]

Unless the news of us having to pay 800m in the future for the 260m we receive today was fake news Tebas needs to shut his mouth.

Dont compare 28 years Ronladinho who stopped carrying to even a 36 years old Messi !

& Rivaldo was dead by 30 !

Messi is out while being the best player in the WORLD for the current season !!

That's a galaxy of difference between a player out because of a financial crisis or because of the current player level

Ronaldinho was fat, lost more than half his pace, couldn't dribble, and was a chronic alcoholic and was deemed as a bad influence to the squad by the time he hit 27. He should've been binned after his world cup run in 2006.

Messi's been scoring 30-50 goals for more than 10 years now, and is always the world's best player, if not, at the very least top 3, every single season. He "managed" to stay this long because he's the best player in the squad responsible for the vast majority of our season long accomplishments.

Stop comparing him to Brazilian has beens, and the career trajectory of a manager/coach from 30 years ago.

Because Messi is still the best in the world at 34. Ronaldinho was washed up at 28, Rivaldo was no longer as good as he was (plus Van Gaal) and Cruyff failed to win anything over two seasons.
