There needs to be some type of documentary done about this whole saga in the future. There has been too much misinformation and shady stuff around this story from the beginning.

state ownership continues to fuck member's ownership in the ass.

might as well to learn to like it.

there will be more pandemics.

Well it's not PSGs fault Barca is too broke to register Messi. The blame is on Bartomeu fucking up the finances to no end.

Barca was not broke when QSG signed Neymar, which was allowed, just as in Messi's case, by a La Luser liga specific regulation.

Laporta might have done right by Barca. We won’t know until a few years down the road. Might have been time for us to split with Messi. We got no money lol.

We got no money yet we kept all these bums on high salaries. Laporta just wanted to get rid of Messi to start his era.

Buying Griezeman for for 120M and paying 800k a week is the worst deal ever.. after Dembele for 105M and Coutinho for 160M...

How can one club make three 100M+ signings which were this shit in a row?

Again, what alternative did he have? There was ZERO possibility of registering a 50ME/year contract (effectively 200ME/year freed in wages). Even if he magically got rid of Coutinho, Umtiti and the likes.

Unless you want him to swallow Tebas' c***. And f*** Barcelona in the process.

Messi is joining a club that didn't win the League last season while Ronaldo joined a club that won the League 7 times in a row

Messi isn't afraid for a challenge

When Neymar left, Barca felt they had unlimited cash for the next few years but they managed to bankrupt the club within 4 years. These wages are so ridiculous that the players must not have been able to believe their luck.

I wonder how they ever managed to come to the conclusion that the books would balance at some point while players are on these enormous wages. We deserve to be broke.......

Laporta is just another politician that lies as he breathes. He never wanted to keep Messi. All these bullshit excuses about the legacy and how the league didn't budge.

Truth is that Messi was standing in the way and he had power in the club. Laporta wanted to get rid.

Still believe that CVC was the dealbreaker. Either Tebas didn't know that CVC sneakily will grab a part of the TV money or he left that part out while negotiating with Laporta. Someone broke the news about it yesterday. Either it was Reverter after having a closer look on the contract (it was reported that Laporta wanted to speed things up to present Messi) or Perez as Madrid made this fact public yesterday evening. It all aligns yesterday. There wasn't an hour about rumours that something went wrong between Barca/Messi and Madrid making that statement on the CVC-deal.

Let's say he wanted to keep Messi... what should he have done?

Anything possible. Be truthful at first and say since a couple of months ago how we stand. Not come up with bullshit at the last moment on how they tried but La Liga didn't budge.

Do you really believe that it took 5 months to complete this financial audit he was talking about? It was time to announce the renewal and suddenly the audit numbers weren't correct and La Liga changed its mind. What a lying sack of shit

Oh yeah, it will be almost impossible to clinch the title from mighty Lille, what a heck of a challenge indeed. It's like i am playing football manager with in game editor on. That's how fair QSG is in that league and frankly, in the whole world. You might be a fan of the player, but to support that pathetic plastic club...it's beyond abysmal.

Yeah, Laporta is full of it. I actually thought he is the best solution for this club, but he isn't. The legacy of Bartomeu would have been hard for anyone, but just don't lie man. Fuck you Laporta.
