Lionel Messi - v7

It is aimed at Messi because the board uses his name to justify any big decisions they make. They're not necessarily attacking him, but using his name to placate the fans for any board decision.

Messi's name wasn't mentioned in the sacking of Valverde. He was sacked because of his results, the state of the team, and the very high probability of us ending up trophyless this season, as the team was constantly showing the same problems over and over again.

What decision was justified by linking Messi and other top players to wanting Neymar back?

It was not the Barca board leaking it. The whole world knew those players wanted Neymar back.

There was nothing by board to target Messi there. Trying too hard to find reasons.

Why does then he want some players to be called out?

Even if he doesn't want the media to call him out anymore, the last sentance in his post is incredibly stupid, especially since he is the captain of the team.

I honestly think Messi doubt there were specific players. Probably just Abidal talking shit

What do you want Messi to clarify? Made it pretty clear. Asks the board to take responsibility for its decisions (not just this Valverde case) and questions Abidal statement regarding the players unsatisfied with training. Name them if they even exist. Might be a big lie from Abidal to justify the firing and blame it on the players, not the board.

Abidal in his interview takes more responsibility for the sacking than blaming players. So no.

There were...

MATS for example was hinting on himself being unsatisfied with EV somewhere in the begining of the season in a press conference after the match.

the board has no incentive to justify the firing of Valverde because both Abidal and Barto said numerous times it was the management's idea to give a boost to the team and the players didn't want it and supported Valverde. What Abidal is doing is simply dropping truth bombs, dawg, revealing that some players were in fact unhappy with the training whilst some also didn't want the firing to happen.

Oh and look at the newspapers for tomorrow. Its looks like its Messi vs Abidal when its Messi vs the board. The board just hides behind Abidal because he is a likeable figure and actually has a lot of support.

Pathetic board. Worst I can remember at my club by far.

Of course it's Messi vs Abidal. Those spineless twats are either licking Leo's arse or hide behind the sporting director. They are politicians after all.

Of course it will be Messi and Abidal as topic of conversation and Abidal will be seen as representing the board.

Laporta is so far from being the answer it is a farce.

The basics of what is needed is a board to come in and make the decisions to rebuild and anyone not happy can go.

Laporta would come back in and try to be everyones friend and publicise himself.

Laporta bought ronaldinho, and during his reign he gave guardiola free hands to assemble the team that he wants, and gave him freedom to tell ronaldinho and amigos to fuck off.
Not saying that he would do that again, but man clearly knows that his job is not to interfere with managers one. Only thing that is doubtful is that ronaldinho looked like a fat pig in last years so it wasnt that hard to dump him

i just read a nice point on twitter btw. Its really insane the board accepted Abidal to do a 30 min interview in these conditions. Shows everything IMO. A scapegoat

It was something along the lines... We should all fight more, prepare more tactically and phisically... Nothing explicit, but it was pretty much clear that he isn't happy with the intensity of trainings.

I can't imagine how depressed and sad Messi must be. We are in the middle of the season and for the first time in over 15+ years, I can confidently now say we won't win CL. I always had us as top 3 during these years and Messi knows it too.

Sad times man
