Nobody yet commented on that stupid request put by messi : " to give names". Is he really that dumb?

What's wrong with that?

Messi calls bullshit that the players were unhappy with EV so he told Abidal to give names ( he can't because it's a lie) or take responsibility that it was the boards decision to sack EV not the players who were happy with him.

That simple

He has over reacted but this whole mess is EVERYONE'S FAULT!

The senior are lazy, entitled pussies and the board are a bunch of morons. If Messi wants to leave he can. Goat but no one is bigger than the club.

Nothing wrong with that.. But it's an unrealistic request. Abidal can't just come and start naming people like Saddam Hussein. Keeping names out of it is making a mitigated statement. Messi has not been called out and everybody knows he gives everything so there was no reason for him to reply.

It's easy to just say "YEA THAT'S MY GOAT!" and then you look into the context of things I can't really agree with Messi on that.

Everything about this screams some of these guys being upset that Abidal actually had the balls to come out and say what led to Valverde getting sacked. Heck Abidal never said anything about the players who had complaints or dropped their level wanting Valverde sacked.

Abidal played under Frank Rijkaard and Pep, he seen where things descended into shit while also seeing a new dawn under Pep where he brought in big changes which led us to have the some if not the best years of this club has had with many considering the 2010-11 team to be the best team ever assembled. Abidal isn't perfect but he has seen his fair share of good and bad shit, and he knew Valverde wasn't the right man to lead this job.

Player power has been an issue for awhile now, and it's all due to the fact we don't have any good leaders. Mascherano was a good leader who said on multiple occasions if he felt like he wasn't needed anymore he would leave and that's what he did.

He didn't fucking whine to the media, or leaked shit to them like a bunch of little cunts as Alba and Rakitic did. He kept it professional and didn't do shit like that to try and unsettle the team. Saying this stuff doesn't mean you're some Barto lover or some shit.

You can acknowledge the board being shit while also thinking the likes of Messi, Pique etc aren't always correct either.

How can that be stupid ? It's actually a great call from Messi, he will put now Abidal in a bad position. Abidal used the players as one of the reasons and now Messi call his bluff, maybe there's some French de Amigos here 😂

Absolutely, Abidal has been a really bad sporting director; All his calls have been stupid and now the team has become absolute shit with only 2 experience starters left in attack one of whom has been a bad fit to our team play! Either he is a really bad sporting director or he's just another pawn in the game of the stupid fuck that our president is! Regardless, they have to be exposed and Messi has made a great move!!

If the management is exposed completely and they are forced to step down, that would still be a great service that Leo would have done to the club!

It's common practice to just make up something about players no longer believing in the coach, having troubles etc. It's very convenient because it effectively takes away responsibility from the board.

If they admitted they sacked him solely because the team played like shit and lost to Atletico people would question why they didn't care for the past year(s) of shit football or why losing a meaningless cup game seems to be more important than 2 consecutive CL humiliations.

Players usually don't like that if it isn't really true though, for obvious reasons.

Imagine how Setien feels when the captain goes to the media complain about the manager sacking. This club is so fragile right now, 1.62 odds for real to win league is a steal.

Shit captain defends his teammates but is shit captain. Facepalmed after that. At least say truthful stuff like, this isn't a good time for an internal war to start or that he should have kept it behind closed doors.

Accept it or not this is FCMessi he brings the money and trophies. If the forum de amigos want to eliminate the club de Amigos they should start with sell Messi campaign.

I've said all season Messi has already won his last trophy at Barca. This squad is done.

We should let him go to City or PSG in the summer and look to rebuild. These last few years with Messi aren't going to go well for us anyway, so it might be worth trying to rebuild for the post-Messi era now and let him salvage his final few years in a more competitive team.

He ain't going to another country now, maybe only to Argentina. Barcelona is his comfort zone, from a language and climate perspective. And he is no Ronaldo to chase trophies or personal achievements in other leagues.
Also, it makes no sense for us to sell and it would go against our whole policy as a club. So Xavi and Iniesta get an emotional farewell and we give Messi the boot like he is some bum? And Messi is still the best in the world. Xavi and Iniesta were finished.
Don't know how some people can even think about scenarios like these, mind boggling. Stop playing FM or FIFA and start living the real life.

He shouldn't have come out in the first place. If you have internal problems within the squad you have to deal with that internally and not by crying to Sport! He got what he deserved. This is not how things are handled in the first place. Have you ever seen any sporting director of any big club in the world acting like this and telling internal things to newspapers? Absolutely unprofessional move from Abidal.

None of us here thinks that our players are saints and that the likes of Suarez or Pique or Busi are training with intensity they should but than you go directly to them and tell that to their face! If they won't give a fuck after that just bench their ass. That is the right way and not the one Abidal chose. In the end I doubt that French clan revealed those things to Abidal. Who are those french players who are training hard?!?! Umtiti???? Dembele???? The only one who could have said something is maybe Griezmann (who is used to Cholos way of training) but I sincerely doubt that since this would mean his relationship with Messi went down the drain.

This season is ruined and maybe it's good this happened sooner than later but guys those thing can't be solved in one summer or in one transfer window. It will take some time to get us back on track even with the new board and new manager.
