About the time that Valverde was sacked and a new manager came in with more intense training

Looks like Messigician was right about Valverde managing Messi well these past 2.5 years

Two things EV did extremely well.

1 get the best out of Messi

2 keep the dressing room happy.

Players like Herrera have all spoken out on E's unparalleled ability to keep the dressing room unified, motivated and happy.

It is said he has this injury for several weeks.

In fact he and Luis Suarez, two of those "sacred cows", were the ones who most supported the 'Txingurri' inside the locker room

Well, when you are doing 0 defensive work, run 1 km per game, have a lot of days off and play every game from start to finish...

What's not to like?

eV gOt ThE bEsT oUt oF mESsI...yeah sure, the man has been scoring 50+ goals for a decade, but EV was the defining manager of his career.

Well yes,he kept the team happy because they trained the least possible and kept their position in the gala XI,while Barca got humiliated twice in the CL and hasn’t played a convincing away match in La Liga since last April/May.

I hope those who are bothered by us be a little bit patient. We do really really love Messi and appreciate what he has done. We do not hate him one bit, we are just disappointed. We expected a bit more from him.

He has been quiet for so long the past few years and now he decided to talk? Was not he bothered by the poor performance? We are disappointed because of the timing.. because saying players are not training enough was worse than the unacceptable performance.

I understand that there are people who love Messi more than Barcelona and that is okay. I just hope that you understand what we are going through.

This is mind boggling that people have an issue with Messi.

-Messi has ALWAYS been consistent with his feeling towards Valverde when discussing him in public: He backs Valverde

-For Abidal to make a statement such as "players didn't like Valverde's methods" goes against everything Messi has always said publicly about Valverde.

-So Messi refuted it and said that the Sporting Management need to take responsibility for their decisions instead of ambiguously stating player disconetent to justify their decision to fire Valverde. Which he is 100% right in doing so.

This is an incredibly easy concept to grasp. I don't know how people can be split on this.
This, I don't know why it's so hard for people to understand it.

Messi came out and supprted EV after the Liverpool defeat. Think it is safe to say Messi had his back.

Messi is not all innocent in the 'looking to leave stories. He plays the media for his own game as every other top player does.
What do you want Messi to say after Liverpool defeat? The mere fact that he's taking responsibility as a player that they fucked up is Great to show a leadership instead of blaming anything outside the field

Answer #1

We the players are responsible for the loss,we should improve, this shouldn’t have happened etc.

Answer #2

We the players are responsible for the loss,we should improve, this shouldn’t have happened etc, coach Valverde is not responsible for the loss

Spot the difference

I only think the issue is Abidal saying something like Valvedre sacking was mainly from players. He seem to hint at players undermining the coach.

And Messi just saying that the sacking of Valvedre was the decision from the board, no players involved in this.

But I don't know I cannot read Spanish. I read from translated news.

That's my understanding too. Because it sounds like some players want Valverde gone and the Board and Abidal just followed the request. And who have the power to do that, mostly only the Club de Amigos.

Every people saying EV this EV that is a myth. What we know about him is limited to what is shown to us via media. Its different if someone here really know the internal of barca, being someone that really know the players and EV himself.

To spoil opinions they regard as fact when they dont know anything.

Same thing goes with amigos etc. To me all of this is just a thing that makes the fans separated. Cant we just look at the future, never mention a thing in the past (what abidal did), and provoke some players when what we need most at this moment is unity?

Not to mention people here talking shit and hide behind his motive for saying this and that is their love to barca. Just stop. Step forward, and be positive.

No doubt that the time is coming quickly to separate the way with Messi. Tired of watching him being an arrogant dictactor/worst captain in the locker room for many years. For me, he doesn't need to be a Barça player to enjoy him. I can even enjoy watching him even if he moves to RM. Barça has to prepare the life after Messi and it's already too late to make a gradual change since this club became too dependent on him.

Barca should of been preparing for life after Messi as soon as he hit 30 with a scouting team. instead, we managed to throw away 300mil+ on flops and we are arguably more relient on a 33 yr old Messi than ever before

Leo is still the best player in the world and when hes motivated hes still unstoppable but those days are few and far between now and its not enough to carry a team in the CL. he almost did vs Liverpool but we still came up short - had he carried these sorry cunts and Valverde to a CL that might just of been his biggest feat yet

another issue is where to play him these days. i've said it to death now but false-RW doesn't work vs elite sides, it leaves the RB exposed and a midfielder having to cover leaving more space. false9 also doesn't work and neither does Messi as a ST ofcourse. he doesn't have the workrate for midfield so where exactly does one play him? with teams like Liverpool and Klopp managing, you cannot afford to have a player like Messi just walking around no matter how great he is. even Ronaldo defends (although he has a huge advantage here in terms of height and athleticism)

I think there will come a time where we need to measure his waning influence (as he ages) vs having a player sacrifice himself to be Messi's personal workhorse

Accept it or not this is FCMessi he brings the money and trophies. If the forum de amigos want to eliminate the club de Amigos they should start with sell Messi campaign.
