Spot on. You know there is a problem with creativity in your midfield when, riqui has more assists than a couple of the regulars by playing in only a handful of games. Messi does the same thing with Argentina as they also lack creativity. Didn't have to drop back earlier in his career at Barca as xavi and iniesta were running the show from deep.

I agree with all this, but I'd like to add that midfield having to cover for 2 defensive walkers (L&L) doesn't help. Our midfield is too old for that. If 8 players do the work of 9 defensively... We are dead tired even sooner.
