I don't think it's impossible for Messi to adapt and change his way of playing in a different team with different players and most importantly a quality manager around him.
What's certain is that it won't happen at Barcelona with these players around him that he's comfortable with and our habit of always going for second rate managers. Messi showed fight and did move more off the ball and do better vs Liverpool last season.
Perhaps a change of scenery will force him to adapt and get better that way.
It's just sad that this club being managed by absolute clowns with no clue about football led to this.

I would personally love him to go to another team, just as a fan to see how he adapts to another league and other players and to also see if he can improve that team massively. It will also be good for our rebuilding phase. Messi leaving would surely make it easier for other Amigos to leave. It's basically fast-forwarding our rebuild process.

All depends on how willing Messi is to reduce his wages. Barcelona will have to let him go for basically free, anyway.

According to some on here Messi is worth over 100m in revenue to teams so a fee and wages should be no problem.
