I just don’t see how he could realistically not think it’s them to blame for the result though. He blamed themselves for Roma and Liverpool so no way he thinks they’re not part of the problem when they lost 8-2 imo, there’s no defending that team now. Hopefully this is a threat to the board so they resign and he’s willing to be part of new project.
Yeah, I do agree. So far we don't know what Messi thinks, he hasn't said anything.
But realistically everyone so far has said things along the same lines. Big changes, elections, squad wipe. Pique, FDJ, even Bartomeu. I think Messi knows as well as anyone else that the Amigos have to go.
It all starts with the coach though. Whoever wins the election, let's assume Laporta, should take huge note of what Bayern achieved with Flick.
The coach matters more than anything when we get to 2021. Laporta can bring Pep back when his contract is up that year, and even Xavi as assistant coach. Guardiola would only return if he could wipe the squad and so the Amigos would be truly over by then. This 20/21 season is just going to be a transition year under a caretaker coach.
