Lionel Messi - v7

Maybe we can get Laudrup, Stoichkov, Ronaldinho, Zubizaretta and all back.
They where magic in their prime, we will field the best team ever!

Life isn't eternal and Messi, Suarez, Busquets showed us 3 years in a row.
I don't need a 4th humilitation in CL

Mate, there's a limit. Sure Messi has to go but let's put the brakes here. He's still the sole reason we were in contention for the trophies in the first place. Don't go in the other direction, Messi deserves better than fans blaming him for our utter humiliations. Messi was at the bottom of the list when it comes to reasons for them.

Any club is bigger than any player !!! and of course we are going to say goodbye to Messi goddam people can't read in 2020 !!!!

Why not answer the question ? what was bar?a before ?

WE are a club that shined because of two names i'm sorry if that is hurting your bubble thinking we were master tacticians like italians & germans !!!

Actually started watching barca because of my father and his love for the club since 1992 !

If you started wathcing this club in 1992, then you should know we are more than 2 players.
Every club has his ups and downs, and the Messi era will end anyhow.
Barca was a big club even before Messi was born! He is the best player we ever had, but it's not 2015 anymore.

We should have started rebuilding after 2018 Roma game, but our board was shit and pampered the star players.
Fine by me, but show us improvement but don't show us a 2019 Liverpool game. Still our board didn't do anything, neither our star players showed improvement.
All in all result? We have a shit board, spending big money and shit star players showing us a 2-8 defeat against Bayern.

Both can go! We can rebuilt

Relax Messi will stay.

He's going all in to get the board out.

Obviously it will have to be an atomic bomb reaction and nuclear fallout to get those cockroaches out

If this scenario gets rid of the board as well as suarez I'm all for it, i just hope they cancel Suarez's contract before they're voted out if it does happen.
Having said that getting rid of them now does nothing so id rather they clean house so the new board can come in and not have to deal with this shit, the only causality in this would be the loss of messi and in all honesty it might be the best result for both.

Getting rid now does alot actually.

They can't sign Martinez and ruins Barto's candidate chances.

This is the best thing Messi could have done for the club dawg

But what will a new board possibly do to make things better? Please tell me? We're in deep shit. It's going to take a hell of a long time for a new board to sort this shit out. Bartomeu leaving today or tomorrow won't suddenly make us an amazing team again.

Why would Messi stay even if Bartomeu leaves? We'll basically have the same aging and average team. We haven't got much money to rebuild.... and he'll still be playing under Koeman. Why would he waste his last 3 to 4 years in Barcelona to struggle? And you can tell Messi has been frustrated for years now..... I think that 8-2 loss to Bayern finally made his mind up to move. He's had enough regardless of Bartomeu.

I figured with all the pressure etc and finances it would be difficult for him to make such a move, definitely safer if they all go. Messi would definitely do us a solid there regardless.

Barto going to sign Lautaro for the money they'll get for Messi isn't he?

If that happens we will be in even more shit than now. 100m wasted once again.

He was/is a big reason we are in contention, couldn't agree more. But he should also accept, if we want to move forward, we need to rebuilt and cannot have this kind of squad anymore.
If he cannot handle this and wants to leave. Fine by me, I will always remember him as the biggest player we ever had.

He will be GOAT for Barca when he stays, will be GOAT when he leaves.
There is no denail about that for any Barca fan, but we have to accept he is 33 years old, not 25 and reaching his prime.
Decisions will be different just based on that.

Now one is denying that but tell me a big club with one CL in the bag back then was great ?

We played like shit in Europe most of the time call that a big club or not Olympique de Marseille had the same CL wins as us back then ffs

No he has to go now. The time of the Elves is over. :D It's time to move on. They have to sit with him and find a solution. It's the only solution for both parties.

People seem to forget that Barca were a big CLUB BEFORE we even won acl. We had players like Cruyff, Maradona and Linekar play for us.
Time to rebuild.

And who would that be right now?

James Vardy - 23 goals
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - 22 goals
Raheem Sterling - 20 goals

James Vardy:

16-17: 13 goals
17-18: 20 goals
18:19: 18 goals
19-20: 23 goals

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang:

17-18: 10 goals
18-19: 22 goals
19-20: 22 goals

Raheem Sterling:

16-17: 7 goals
17-18: 18 goals
18-19: 17 goals
19-20: 20 goals

These are the players that I have on top of my head. That said we also lack players from wingers / creative midfielders.

City would be idiots to destroy their team structure to fit Messi in and then another club de amigos could form with him and Aguero

its amazing how people are forgetting Messi is 33 yrs old, has no stamina and his goal scoring sharpness has declined massively. its 2020, football has changed and theres no room for passengers

Pep will go in 1-2 years so it he wouldnt care what will happened after he left.

For obvious reason's it will be sad to see him leave, best player we have ever had and almost certainly wont be anyone like him again but maybe it would be good for him and the club to start a fresh. He looks unhappy, hasn't enjoyed playing this season as much (lack of running without possession as an example) so it might be better to allow him to leave and reinvest the money in younger hungry players. He only has a couple good seasons left in him anyway and it might be the right time to cash in.

As for Messi, I think it would be great for him to challenge himself in a new league, especially the PL. I wouldn't like him to go to Italy and defo not PSG because there is no challenge. PSG would win the league by 30 points instead of 20!!
I would like to see a hungry Messi again before he retires so thats why I'm not completely against him moving on..
