Lionel Messi - v7

The thing is, if our board sees that he has decided to leave and there is no coming back, they should negotiate. We should get at least some money for him.

Terminating a contract would be a disaster for club. Unless he wants it like that, because of City and FFP situation.

In any case, we should negotiate ASAP.

Soccer changed heavily since mid 2000's

Olympique Marseille, Ajax, Rangers, Benfica, Steaua Bukarest where all big clubs till the mid 90's and international football was dominated for years by the Italians.
We didn't play EC1 for years because of the Franco area (between 1955 - 1980, we played the EC1 for 3 times only, of which we lost 1 final against Benfica).
Since the mid 80's the club began to fight against years of government domination, but this took years.
Not until Cruijff took the manager job, we started to create a team, but we became a powerhouse in those years to come.

Name me one club that dominated Europe between 1995 - 2005 for years, as there was not 1 club wo could do that.
Soccer was entertaining, because every big team could be defeated by anyone on any round.

Yeah sure nothing means anything & Winning 4 CLs is by luck.

If you believe that we can win CLs just by hard work & big team management good luck in your delusion, we are not OM mid 90's or Bayern.

We are talking club history not dominance.

the only team who claim such thing is RM period !!

Well yeah, but the way you worded your last post, it seemed that you included Messi with the other players when it comes to blame for the shameful exists from the CL when it isn't even close to the truth. I wholeheartedly agree that we should finally move on but the board in place at this point is the same that wasted over 700m on misfits and nothing players. They are just going to waste the money on Lautaro. Just when you think that we hit rock bottom, watch Bartomeu sink this club even more.

I worded Messi as including into the Amigos, because if he wants to stay the same way as we did the last 3 years, I am happy he is leaving.
Even Messi needs to step up his game, because we cannot play with 10 men while he doesn't put pressure on the LB.

The Board definitely has the biggest blame, because they have let this fish rot for too long.
Koeman is finally acting and doing the job in one week, which should have been done already.
Maybe he should be more friendly, but I can understand he needs to be hard, but all our players are pampered too much.

I answered your questions, now do the same, because you still don't have any valid point here.
RM domination was in the sixties, name me one club that dominated 1995 - 2005 period!

Barto is not dump when it comes to money, he will Milk Messi departure as much as he can.

The question is, WHAT is he going to do with the money !!

Some local french radio saying PSG is not going to let ManCity take Messi

I've thought a lot about this since yesterday and came to a conclusion that him leaving would be the best for us and him as well.
