Ok let's not be salt'y now. He gave a lot to the club, he is the GOAT but I agree he should have acted way better in this case. Unfortunately he got used to worshiping and he for sure won't have that in Manchester. No one will respect him as Camp Nou always did. There is no doubt we will take a hit from the advertising/marketing perspective once Messi is gone (and many of his fans gone with him), but it would be ridiculous to say we will be reduced to the level of Sevilla and Valencia etc. when it comes to attracting sponsors. Messi and his fellow super stars helped further build our brand, yes, but we are one of the most popular brands in world football (if not the most popular already, judging by social media interactions alone from every single social media site except Facebook we are the most popular brand), even after Messi is gone we are still very attractive. Real Madrid didn't lose sponsors simply because Ronaldo left, I expect us to take a small hit but not that much.
