Lionel Messi - v7

Do you really think this guy will say anything fruitful. Actions speak louder than words. What can he possibly say that will make him look like decent person other than stating that he wants to do something for himself for once and explore playing elsewhere? most other statements will make him look bad.

There's a chance but at the same time, Messi is 33 going on 34 years old, and what we have seen his mobility and work rate has gotten worse. Even if he ran more for Pep, He doesn't have the legs like he did to make it last as long as he could. The team would have to make some sacrifices to help him out.

City and Pep haven't exactly been mentally on it in the CL later stages. To many stupid mistakes, too much tinkering by Pep and no doubt those will still be there even if/When Messi goes there.

Pep and City have more weapons to deal with Messi's problems. If Pep wants him then he probably has some plan in place to get the most out of him. Of course, there's also a marketing stake for City to sign him.

City is better for Messi atm than Barca. No doubt. If Messi doesn't want to be a leader for Barca, and it's clear he isn't one, then moving now to a better team to get more out of his last years makes sense in a pragmatic cool-headed way.

I want to see a camp nou brawl between the FC Messi fans and Anti-Amigos Fans. Malvolio will be the FC Messi Commander, while Serghei will command the Anti-Amigo squad. Second in charge for FC Messi will be Messigician and second in charge for Anti Amigos will be jamdav.

damn, i really wanted to return to the camp nou to see the GOAT in action one more time before he retires. we'll have to arrange for the brawl to take place in front of the etihad now :(

Lord Commander of FC Messi and Protector of the Amigos :worthy: That doesn't sound so bad, lil' Ritchie. Thanks

All I'm gonna say is:

Neymar left Barca for greener pastures. Ended up losing a CL final.

Alves left Barca (or was pushed out, regardless). Ended up getting blown away in a CL final and then beat again by RM in the following year with PSG. He used to beat RM for fun at Barca.

United they stood, divided they fell.

Also, City have been beating themselves in CL. They haven't been outplayed as we have been. Their problems are nothing compared to ours. They could turn it around in any season, similar to how PSG, an equally lol worthy team in CL prior to this campaign, did it this year.

By the way, Iniesta has 1 on Messi (if it goes through), Xavi, and Pep.

He left for Japan while the rest 3 sold out to sheikhs. Don Andres things.

:iniesta:

And lose the final to a historical team.

No one remembers losers, whether worthy or not.

His legacy takes a severe dent if he moved to city even if they have more chances to win anything and a better team.

He's been here since childhood and this won't look good on his CV later on. Lot of talks in this thread about a lot of things but surprised no one mentioned how big of a factor this is. Had he came from Arsenal or some shit at 21 it would have made sense. He'll regret it in the long run like Neymar.

Not to mention the utter stupidity to leave when changes are actually being made instead of a year or two before when he was openly praising EV after the thrashing.

Also, people need to stop worrying about his legacy. Unless he's related to you by blood or is financially helping you in some way, his legacy means fuck all in the grand scheme of things.

Why does Messi attitude piss me off? I never thought about it but even in the pitch I never truly liked him. Over the past 15 years not for a second did I ever think abiut wearing a Messi jersey let alone owning one.

I had Iniesta and would love to have many players jerseys from Valdes to Busquets to Fati to Bojan and Dos Santos but never Messi
