Cant believe that a club of this stature has a status quo period of that long. Like holy fuck, those guys are so incomptent from top to the bottom. Even instagram chick looks like a complete failure, like what are the specification to hire someone that unwatchable.

Right now, im in more they should all fuck off mood, from barto, amigos, and whoever the fuck is even slightly responsible for this total media bukake on barca as a club.

Agreed, just burn the club to the ground and start over. Hire competent people, down from the grounds janitor to the president. Even the ig/Facebook media people of this club seems like they were picked out near a nightclub at las ramblas. This club is run like a circus compared to Real Madrid

BOOM! It's over. Veronica Brunati confirming that Messi's release clause expired before the start of 2020/21 season: https://twitter.com/verobrunati/status/1299844577013256192?s=21

https://twitter.com/2010MisterChip/status/1299724530324250624?s=19 You can also see Bartomeu explaining in 2019 that Messi can leave for free before the start of 2020/21 season but "it won't happen as Messi is a cule"

Basically Messi was right since the beginning, after he sent that burofax he's no longer a Barca player. Nothing unprofessional about skipping training, he could already have left for Manchester but I guess he's staying here to negotiate maybe a fee for his departure even if he isn't obligated to.

If that remotely true which I still don't believe. All board members should get fired and then buried inside camp nou.

U can't be that incompetent

Seriously. I mean, i even heard about some shady buissness surrounding barca academy, about playing kids who payed more, not the more talented one. Its no wonder that players like davies went under our radar, when you look on the larger scale about the core problem. Half of our competent people left for manchester, and right now we have the board who runs the club like some eastern europe club. Full of flaws, frauds, corruption and escaping the law like true snakes. These fucking idiots needs to go right now, not in march. RIGHT NOW.

I'm quite relaxed about this to be honest. I'm sad Messi is leaving under these circumstances but on the other hand:

1. This will be the end of Barto and the clowns who wasted hundreds of millions on sh*t maybe the club will finally get competent leadership and start to turn the ship around realistically we're not winning the champions league anytime soon even with Messi
2. Messi realistically only really has two years left playing at the top level IMO the decline has started and will only continue to accelerate, I'd be furious if we were losing prime Messi but he's not at that level anymore he's still one of the best players in the world but needs a strong team around him now rather than being able to be a one man team and win games for us single handedly.
3. With Messi's huge wages off the books we can begin to reduce the debt and use these wages on other players which could easily cover 2-3 new starters. If we can get a good fee for him and actually spend it on some good young talent such as Sancho this wouldn't be a disaster if he were to leave
4. Messi is starting to really hurt us defensively with his lack of pressing off the ball we're basically playing with ten men when out of possession with Messi gone we'll definitely improve a bit defensively
5. Messi arguably stops other players playing at their full potential whether this is players looking to constantly pass to him because he's Messi rather than picking the better pass. The way he operates means Griezmann and Coutinho can't operate in their best positions with no Messi they'd be able to operate more effectively

All Spanish contracts have a release clause, even in their final year. Messi is currently in his final year of contract. He can't leave without compensating the club. Whether the release clause is 700m or a different amount no one knows, but it won't be a small amount for sure.

What Bartomeu said is being misinterpreted. He is referring to the clause Messi had to break his contract unilaterally on the 10th of June (i.e. before the start of the 20/21 season). That clause expired, so his contract is still active.

I could see though, if this ends up in the court, Messi's lawyers using the video as possible evidence.

I would argue most clubs even in Belarus premier league are run better. There should be serious legal consequences for the board. Running fc Barcelona should not be like a teenager starting his first season in football manager
