fact
Barca promised that messi could leave for free if he wants, last contract. A gesture Xavi and Iniesta also gotten.
Apparently a clear cut lie from the barca board.
In football is it easy. If you don't let him go he won't show up and/or won't play anymore.
It is a big loss but Messi was a gift and a burden.
While he is awesome, he is killing all of our other players.
Remember matches when Messi was injured against RM.
Or against Napoli this preseason.
We were flying all over the pitch.
And after 20-30 matches when players will build more chemistry, we'll be ok.
Short term we won't win anything.
Long term, you guys will get "your Barca" back.
While Messi is here, we could never play like a team-Barca.
This was Fc Messi and 10 helpers.
Two weeks away from the first game of the season
And as I wrote yesterday, lets not forget that our best games the last years where we played the best football was WITHOUT Messi.
Im glad he is leaving. I wrote many times the last years that once he is gone a proper rebuild will start.
With a proper sporting department I'm not worried.
3. Not go down as the president who let Messi go.Is this just a ploy by Barto to
1)Pretend Messi is not for sale and try to set up an auction?
2)Cover his ass by saying he never wanted to sell but Messi forced his hand
Fuck, what a mess.

"Messi is obviously a 🐐. No doubt about it.
But Messi is also one of the biggest bitches in football history.
When anything doesn't go his way, he throws ridiculously obscene tantrums to try and get his way. He lost a cup final with Argentina? He "retires" from the national team, only to crawl back to the national team when he realised what he did. He doesn't like a player at Barcelona? He throws all of his toys out of the pram so that the owners will force that player out of the club. He fails to turn up in a big game and his team loses a competition? He ALWAYS threatens to quit before signing a bumper new contract a few days later.
Now after suffering the most humiliating defeat in Barcelona'a history, and going trophy less for the first time in over a decade, he doesn't want to see out the last year of his contract and leave the club on a high note following a legendary spell with the club; he's straight up refusing to turn up to training to force a move to another club.
Magical, world class player.
Fragile, child-like mentality."

Barto does not care if Messi leaves after his presidency even if it's free, so it would not be another fiasco for him after all those garbage singing and loosing Neymar like an idiot.
Should have agreed on something before the starts of the new season tomorrow which will set Messi free.
As said before my feeling the only one who is trying to get something back for Barca is Messi himself.

His conduct is disgraceful. He's signed an extremely well paid contract, which no one forced him to and is now behaving like a petulant child throwing his toys out the pram because the club are correctly holding him to the contract he signed.
What sort of captain is it who leads the team to an 8-2 humiliation but still hasn't been able to utter a word or even better an apology since it. When is he going to take some responsibility for the defeats in Europe. He was missing in Rome, missing at Anfield and missing in Lisbon. He's never done it on the elite stage without Xavi and Iniesta, just look at his performances at the major international tournaments.
Talking of Xavi and Iniesta they are two legends of the club who respected the club and unlike Messi used the clause in their contract in the spirit in which it was meant. All this is about from Messi is money, he is looking for his final big pay day.
If he wants to leave let him go but only once someone offers and acceptable fee and if he continues to insist he isn't a Barcelona player then take him to court. The one thing Barca should not be doing is letting him have his own way and leave for nothing. The club will go in the right direction under Koeman and may well find it's self to be better of without Messi, who has for too long wielded far too much power.
Whatever helps you sleep.
Only child-like mentality here is yours. You?ve gone from claiming Messi will stay 100% and hating Barto, to hating Messi and so on. Still waiting for that ?bombshell? you were going to drop a couple of days ago......
I think the issue is that Messi (and the old core) believe they can still when IF surrounded by the right signings in the other parts of the 11 (Pique CB partner, RB, Xavi and Iniesta replacements, AML) and not with themselves being replaced or having to work harder and adapt.
Well but why did he support Valverde after the 4-0 hulimation in Anfield ? If he wanted to win he should knew that Valverde isnt the right man.
I think it?s more the case of hearing Bartomeu saying Ter Stegen, Lenglet, Semedo etc are unsellable when in reality they aren?t top class players.
We?ve never replaced Alves, Xavi, Iniesta, Neymar properly and I think Messi probably sees no future in a project where the players who had at least previously won things are sellable but the Semedos etc aren?t. It?s probably nothing personal he just doesn?t see a winning project built around those kind of players.
With smarter investments back in 2016 we could of definitely had the best players currently in their 20s coupled with the 32 year old winning veterans and younger players breaking through.
