Lionel Messi - v7

Yes, he cant say out loud that alba, rakitic, busi are shit, so he said that team is shit. Barto should have reacted after ROMA, and then after liverpool. If he reacted to those defeats we probably wouldnt have a problem of replacing older guard now and we wouldnt have 2-8 on our mind. We play like SHIT for 3 years running and barto did fuck nothing to improve our biggest concerns.

You want him to react because his opinion could move mountains but in the same time you hate him because his actions could move mountains.

Get your facts straight.

After Roma the players with Messi as their voice were promising the CL title in 2019, at the beginning of the season. Messi only started to be vocally unhappy with the team very late, after Neymar wasn't signed in the summer of 2019, when you heard all those media stories about Neymar being close every day.

So, you can say he was delusional after Roma, but should barto or anyone in that sporting department acknowledge that our main problem is intensity, we cant cope with pressure because we dont have a dominant middlefield against ANYONE anymore.

He should went vocal, well yes, but thats not his fucking job. If people and players around this club did they job like messi is doing, we would be at far better position right now.

even Suarez showed up.

Starting to think Messi might be special needs.

Why would he turn up if he doesn't have a contract with the club?

You didn't half turn against Messi so quickly.

This is all on Bartomeu. Messi gave him a chance to negotiate an exit where Barcelona would get something for him. Now it looks like we'll get nothing.

Regardless of the contract subject and conflict at hand, it's just a surreal feeling right now. I attended six games at the Camp Nou in six different seasons, among them Xavi's and Iniesta's last games and the liga celebration in 2015, and Messi was running riot in all of them. This year was supposed to be the seventh game, but Covid happened. I have never been to a Bar?a game without Messi and saying it won't be extremely weird next year would be a lie. I stopped caring about the outcome and don't have a preference anymore (we are a circus either way), but disappointment of how it could all come like this is the overwhelming feeling.

If we want to be honest, for a CL level:
Mats= a clown, horrible player
Lenglet= average
Alba= horrible
Semedo= horrible
Roberto= not good enough
Busi= he was good 10 years ago, only when surronded by Xavi and Iniesta
Raki= not good enough
Vidal= so-so
Puig= lol
Ansu= too young
Dembele= lol
Suarez= past it
Messi= past it
Griezmann= a bad fit
Braith= not good enough

So, we have a lot of work to do.

People who think we'll sink to the level of Sevilla will have a big surprise when we'll starting building a new side and we'll trash teams on Camp Nou like in the past relatively soon in the rebuilding phase.

I suggest you guys rewatch Barcelona Betis 6-2, with Carles Perez, Griezmann and Rafinha as our front 3. Fast team, with speed and hard work in offense. Scored some goals in that game after recoveries in Betis last third. This is one of the things that will improve with fitter players. The ability to win the ball back in danger zones for the opponent. Probably one of our best and most complete games in recent years, one of the few were we actually weren't gassed after an hour or so.

Thinking we'll sink to Sevilla level is just as out of place as thinking that Messi leaving isn't a big loss and further dent to our ongoing fall from being a guaranteed European top 5 club.

is he leaving guys or not?

He is.

But the question is how. IMO both sides should negotiate.

Barto is delusional that he can keep Leo here at this point and Leo is a moron if he doesn't want to negotiate with us, if he's determined to leave.

Mats is clown when our mf is being clowned and defense did fuck nothing to help him. Happened in those three matches, with liverpool one being a worst display of a 'world beater' keeper in semifinal of cl since forever, agree.

Pique's head is not in football, a clown on high wage.
Alba is a mental midget.
Busi is a turtle
Rakitic is a turtle
Vidal cannot be used properly around turtles
Roberto is a good rotational squad player
Semedo is not a world beater rb
Suarez is not professional
Griezmann is a bad fit considering that we have no pace upfront
Fati is young but promising
Riqui showed more then rakitic and busi combined in ending stage of the season
Fati did ok also
De jong was lost playing with turtles

We have a lot of work to do indeed, but its not like we need 11 new players

Messi is trying to negotiate but Bartomeu is being far too stubborn.
