The next board has a huge job on their hands. With the way things are going now Its very possible we could end up in a situation like the period under Gaspart in the early 2000s or even before with Nunez.

Fun fact about Cruyff is that he fell out with the Ahax board who felt he was old, past it and too expensive.
Moved to Feyenoord and won them a double after 10 years of nothing and retired.

Ajax still named their stadium after him after he past away.
Point being is time will forgive Messi and we should be happy he moves to England rather than angry at Madrid.

The difference being Cruyff was released by Ajax. Messi has a contract with Barca and is trying to get out of it and that will deprive the club that he so called care's for of a significant transfer fee.

Messi done enough for Barca though to do what he wants at 33 imo (except move to Madrid).
All this is on the board.
Only thing I blame Messi for is supporting Valverde for so lang when he should have been fired after Rome.

What about all that Barca have done for him?

I've never known a player before who thinks he can just sign for another club for free even when he is under contract at another club and an offer hasn't been made. Messi seems to think think he is bigger than Barca and can do what he wants.

If he want's to leave then that is up to him but the club should not be taking anything less than ?150 Million from Man City and if he tries to leave for nothing they should take him to court.

As a Barca fan would rather Barca take Messi to court if deemed contract broken.

Rather that than let him leave for free if no clause met.
