Why ? You are literally calling 99.9 percent of the players bums or frauds because they are a no show in big games. Yes Messi has been brilliant this year but are you going to deny that he mostly disappeared in the 4 toughest fixtures we had in LL ?

I'm calling them bums when compared to Messi. Don't think I've mentioned big games as argument, even though it's a deciding factor.

Never denied he could have been better in those games, even though some of the performances were decent to good.

Mbappe and Haaland are fine players and they've achieved so much at their respective age. It's just they aren't better players now vs Messi.

For me lewa is still favourite, dude scored 41 goals - yes his overall play isnt on same level as Messi's but he is striker and scoring 41 goals by breaking the nearly unbreakable record of mueller is a fantastic achievement. Further he scored often when bayern needed the goals and you clearly saw how bayern has missing him against PSG. By the way this guy has also delivered this EURO, 3 goals in 3 matches - what more can you expect from him? Benz has also been impressive, i would have give it to him if he would have won LL. If Messi manages to win the Copa than he is slightly over lewa favourite.
